please check coils which are very near to LVDS jack these are open these are interface coils between panel and main board some are open

Refer to Sony KDL 55EX500 Troubleshooting Manual Protection Mode Symptom... 5X Blink - TCON & HFR Failure The 5X blink protection mode indicates a communications error between the TCON/HFR board and the MT5388 microprocessor on the A-Board.
First replace the TCON/HFR Board if the 5X protection mode blink pattern occurs. If the TCON/HFR Board does not repair the problem then replace the A-Board.

VIZIO flickering Tv screen easy fix( no money ) .... I left town unplugged the Tv. When I came home home ...
I just fixed one with the same problem. The light flashed 13 times.
I had to cut one trace on the hv board to one of the lamp drivers.
There is a slight but barely noticeable darken line across the screen but the tv stays on now and the picture is good. I don't
know if the lamps can be replaced but why bother now.
Unfortunately it sounds like you cracked the LCD panel. This can not be repaired other than changing the panel itself. I don't have a listing for the KDL-40S2000, but similar 40" sets have replacement panels that run in the $2400 range.
