If you look at the chlorinator you'll see an arrow pointing in the direction of the flow. Basically the water coming out of the pool should be going through the filter tower first and then through the chlorinator and ultimately back into the pool.
THIS HAS PRESSURE ON THE PUMP WHEN IT IS HOOKED UP TO THE POOL , NO PRIMING IS NEEDED. NOW IF IT'S HIGHER THAN THE WATER LINE OF THE POOL THIS KIND OF PUMP WILL NOT WORK , YOU NEED A PUMP THAT HAS A HAIR BASKET . THESE YOU FILL THE BASKET UP AND REPLACE THE LID AND YOU PRIMED IT.. . IF'N I WAS ANY HELP VOTE FOR ME ...THANKS.. JAY
We just cut the holes bigger in the side of the pool, it works great now. Just got to make sure you do not cut it to big! I do nnot understand why they can"t make it standard.
Direction of flow is FROM the skimmer to the pump and back to the jet. Its easy enough to determine which hose is the "jet" hose and which is the suction hose. Put both into the water, or in a bucket and turn on the pump, find the one that is shooting out water, that's the jet hose. On these systems, filter replacement and cleaning is annoyingly frequent if you want it to work even remotely efficient.
I just left the standard intex connection on the pool and I cut the standard connection off of the filter side and I slid the hose over the top of a 1 1/2 pipe and put 2 stainless steel hose clamps over them and it worked fine
