Philips PC Camera SIC4750 is only compatible with OS Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000 & Win XP. (Only 32Bit system ie x86)
FAQ from Philips(Ref. Link) Question: Can I use my webcam with Windows 7 or Vista ? Answer:- At the time this webcam was designed, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems did not exist yet. Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems. Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7. We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.
Too bad Philip do not provide the drivers if your are Using Vista or Win 7 or any x64Bit system.
1. Your camera may not be compatible with the Windows 7 environment. You will have to either check to see if the camera will run under another Operating system environment such as Windows XP or Vista. Windows will allow this if the camera is backwards compatible that is if the drivers are available in the Windows DLL list or driver list. If not, this camera will not operate in this this Operating system environment.
That depends - what operating system is running on your computer? If you are running Vista it is because Camedia Master is not compatible with that operating system.
To learn about the new and free version of Olympus Master 2 software go to: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/oima_softwareMaster.asp Click on 'Free Download' to register your email address to receive an email containing a link to download either the Windows or Mac version. This software replaces all previous versions of Camedia Master 4.x and Olympus Master 1.x and is XP and Vista compatible.
If it is older software, it is probably not made to run on Vista Operating Systems. I would check the market for something Vista compatible. Samsung might even have updated software on their website for purchase. But you might want to do some bargain hunting around the net first. Or you could always just connect the camera to the computer and copy the pictures into the "My pictures" folder on your computer. And with Vista's "Windows Image Viewer" (or something of that nature) you can do basic things to the photos, like adjust brightness, contrast, or saturation. You could also crop the photos, and more. The Vista provided image viewer is probably equal to what you could do to photos in the software.
The PDC 700 camera TWAIN driver is not 100% compatible with Windows Me because it does not support USB downloads. No new driver software is available from Polaroid -- however, a compatible TWAIN driver is available from a third-party source.
The Pretec DC-800 is the functional equivalent of Polaroid's PDC 700. Pretec's DC-800 Setup Disk for Windows 95/98/ME/2000 is available for download at its online Driver Download Center.
Testing done by Polaroid has shown that this driver works with the PDC 700 using the listed operating systems, including Windows Me.
When accessing the camera with image editing software compatible with the computer's operating system, the camera driver appears as Digital Camera 1024X768 Driver.
