Icons won't go away!! on my chocolate

I haven't had a voicemail for about two weeks now but my voicemail icon won't go away..I keep checking my mesages over and over again trying to get the icon to go away but it won't..I even turned notification off on my voicemail menu and its still there.
You know how on the chocolate there is that little banner that comes up with text messages, voicemail, schedule and alarm...that pops up every 3 seconds on my phone because it still thinks there is a voicemail!!
Help please how do I get the banner to stop popping up or at least clear the voicemail icon so the banner isn't always there

I had this problem with my phone - ring it from another phone and leave yourself a message, then listen to the message and delete it and that clears it. It worked for me.

I cannot move the icons around on my desktop computer. I have 'right-clicked' and made sure that the auto arrange and lock desktop icons options are NOT checked off. I cannot open jpegs witho

If its shared, are you logging in to user account or are you the administrator for the computer? The administrator account can add / remove rights for the others but locking desktop icons I haven't seen as an option. Try doing a system restore if there is a restore point available to a date before the problem started. No data is affected just settings and drivers and such

The voice mail icon won't go away and the handset blinks continually. what am i not figuring out. Can you help?

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Voicemail symbol won't go away on Samsung Hue r500

Your provider can remove the voicemail icon on you screen but you have to contact them of course. Sometimes what happens is the voicemail is exited improperly and this then will keep the icon on the screen. What you'll need to do it get back into your voicemail and follow the prompts to exit the system (I believe it is the star button to exit voicemail). What I would do is leave yourself a message, call into your voicemail, delete the message and exit the system. If icon is still on the screen then you have no choice but to contact provider. Good luck and hope this helped

Voicemail icon is blinking and I have no messages

Aftre checking twice to ensure I truly had no remaining phone/text/etc. messages (i.e. not initially trusting the "you have no voicemail" lady), I still had the blinking Voicemail Icon on my Verizon (Casio) GzOne Boulder. I turned it off and on, and it simply went away. Reboots triumph again. Since most of us leave our phones on 24/7, betting many don't try a repower/reboot. This is also way less risky than having some new Tech Support person mess with your account ("remove voicemail and put it back on", per the above comment). Until they have less buggy software/firmware, simply reboot.

Voicemail icon won't go away.

I've had the same problem as well. I made sure no messages were there, then called and left myself a message from another phone. I went in and listened to the message and waited till the option to delete came on and for the indication there were no more messages. Icon was gone.
