it sounds like the box is working proper... just needs to wake up. the remote may be your problem.

those are the only 2 lights on a dct700
the red one usually means you have a message under the menu (probably junk mail about upgrading to video, internet and phone)
try to find out if your on the right channel.
-if a cable goes from your box to the tv use the buttons on your tv to get to 3 or 4
-if the red, white and yellow goes to your tv look for a input or source button on your tv and press it repeatedly till you find the correct input
to clear that message after you get a picture go to menu and try to find something about messages.
Hi, i wastrying to research about this issue, and yesterday i did all test possible tofix it. I have 2 of these boxes in different TV's and only in one TV is working(32") but in the 42" TV (LG) I'm having exactly same issue.Incredible but by disabling the Energy Saving mode in LG TV the DCT700 worksnormally immediately I activate the ES remote stop working. Try it and let meknow if you resolve this frustrating problem!
i do not believe this is a function of the dct700 but you can try turning the power off then hitting the menu button (maybe twice or hold down. if the option is there that would be the place to look
