i would go to acer.com and reinstall the built in webcam. I would also go into start, right click my computer, click properties, go into the hardware tab, click device manager and see if there is any yellow shields. that means u need to reinstall the driver. if there isnt i would check the source in the camera software
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5570.html this is their website ....cause i didnt know the exact model of the cam from your laptop ...I will let ya select the operating system ...and the model from your pc....anyway ..if you are not sure what to download...just take 'em all ...I sow that for windows XP are only 3 model of web cam drivers....so ....Im sure that you will manage ... let me know how it worked...
which model u have specify u r acer model..then install the driver cd provided by acer.insert the cd into u drive hen right click on cd icon in my computer.in the menu popup click on open option.it will shown all the contents of the cd.in this there a folder like SW1 OR SW2 IN SW1 folder there ccd foldr opn the folder install driver and the applicatio for cam.then restart the pc.i think its will work
