My Panasonic DMC-FZ100 will not take videos what is the problem. Do I need repairs? Ifollow the user guide but it just takes a photo of the first frame from which I started to shoot. The screen gives

When was the last time you cleaned it? Try using a DVD cleaner, this should help a lot. After time, dust accumulates and cleaning the dvd will probably help. I had the same problem a year ago, and didn't really clean the dvd. And I didn't use it that much either. But after time, I guess it did get dirty. After cleaning, it worked great, good luck.

Flash wont work

AS you know, cameras are very sophisticated and delicate, and messing with it yourself might lead to more damage..It sounds like maybe you have a connection or connector that may have corrosion on it that is getting worse over time. That's what I would look for. If you don't see anything obvious after taking whatever you need to apart to see the areas that moisture may have gotten into, I would take it to a qualified technician to have it diagnosed..Good luck.

Flash wont work

Although I strongly advice not to do it yourself, since you have a working camera, the worst you can do is not to finish the project and you have to do all the shooting with the LZ200.
You should have a look on the site ifixit dot com. There they not only promote the right to repair yourself the stuff you own, they also help with videos and manuals about how to open everything. Not sure the LZ100 is there to, but perhaps you are the one that will send in the video? That is also the place where you can buy tools you need I have a set my son has a set ;-). They also can send you spare parts.
About your camera, what you can expect: The snide won't look pretty.
On some places, the water has formed white spots (can be large) and because it was there long is will have oxidised some connections. You should clean everything without sharp tools and check the flash condensor for bad contacts, but also if it still has its capacity.
Every where you see white spots are possible bad contacts.
It is almost impossible to solder in a camera. so you have to be inventive. Look on ifixit

FZ-100 shows number +/- 1-1/3 next to the flash icon in circle, what does that mean, flash is working ok but seams not enough flash power

This probably means the flash power is set to 1/3 of the full flash power.
Go into the camera's Menu and change the flash setting.
OR
If you cannot find how to change this setting, then remove the battery for 15 mins, replace the battery then go to the camera's Menu to set the Date & Time. the camera will be restored to the default settings.

The flash on my Panasonic DMC-FZ100 doesn't work, I've tried 'forced flash' and thats not working either?

Hello Ray, This is not something a user wants to attempt !!! The camera really needs to be repaired by a tech. You will do more harm than good by trying to fix it yourself and will cost even more if you damage something.

Need firmware to open RAW pics on Panasonic DMC-FZ100

It's not the firmware, it's the software on your computer. You need to update Adobe Camera RAW. You can get it here for Windows or Mac.

Digital Concepts 952AF Power Zoom Flash For Panasonic Problem

The flash may exceed the voltage it sends to the camera. It doesn't take much to fry the electronics in the camera if the flash isn't designed for the camera.
