TV won't power up red standby light is supposed to turn green when u push the red power button on the remote or the power on the side panel it just flashes back to red. I've had it for a year now and I recently mounted to the wall but it was playing fine until a few days ago. My guess it has something to do with the power supply fuse etc..

I have a 51inch LG TV and never had a problem I turned it off as normal and then tried to turn it on a while later and nothing I only got a red solid stand-by light it don't flash when press side buttons...

Try following the steps below.
Step 1
Press the power button once. If the TV does not turn on, observe the LED indicator, usually located on the TV's lower front panel. If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.

Step 2
Observe the Standby light if the remote control will not work. If the Standby light stays on, the television is in Standby mode. Press the power button on the television, then try to use the remote.

Step 3
Turn the Energy Saving Switch off, then press the power button. The Energy Saving Switch is located on the rear or side panel on most Sony model TVs. Refer to your TV user manual for the exact location of the switch.

My LG TV red light won't turn on. although the plug fuse and the remote OK

Try manually pressing the power/standby button on the tv (side or bottom) the red light should appear, most modern tv's will turn on simply by pressing the channel up or down on the tv itself.. But unfortunately in most cases, this seems to be an internal surge and needs a professional to inspect..

Standby power is ok (red light) but the green never turns on even on remote and push button

You have a switching problem. A MOSFET transistor component or a leaky capacitor problem. You need servicing Sir/Ma'am.

Is the red light suppose to stay on when you turn off the tv with the remote?

Yes it is supposed to stay on. This is the standby light. The television still draws power as do many electronic devices when not turned on and when in standby. If you do not want the red light to stay on you will have to unplug the television.

I bought my son a 19" philips tv model # 19pfl340d/27.in order to turn tv on it must be unplugged for 10-15 minutes. The first one I bought did the same thing and I returned it.this one is exactly the...

The remote control will not operate the TV when the TV is in the OFF mode (No LED lit on front bezel). To change the mode from OFF to STANDBY or ON, press the POWER button on the side of the TV. Once the POWER button is pressed, the LED will change to either red to indicate STANDBY or green to indicate ON, whichever mode the TV was in prior to being turned off with the TV POWER button.

By pressing the POWER button on the side of the TV, the mode will toggle from OFF to either STANDBY or ON. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is red, the TV is in STANDBY mode and will need to be turned on using the remote control. If the POWER button is pressed and then the LED on the bezel is green, the TV is ON.
