Copystar cs-1500 fuser temperature problems

I have a Copystar CS-1500 copier in the field for 3 years  with just 3,800 copies on it which gave me a c-6020 code. I reset the fuser code "Simulation 163" which reset copier fine. Later it gave the same code so I ran simulation code again then ran Sim 199 to watch the fuser temperature.
It varied the high temperature from 187 to 234 degrees. I then reset the temperatures with Sim 161 to "135, 145, 170, & 175" and the temperature stayed under 230 degree but sometimes gives c-6000 code ( too low temp)  .
I have replaced the Thermistor and also the Power Source pcb but still have varying high temperature. I also did clear ram code and reset to Inch mode but still have problem. Please help if you can
Thank you in advance,
Dan Howard

I had the same problem. And after spending as much time as you have. I replaced the fuser assembly. Problem solved.
It's not that expensive and how much is your time worth?
The hot line suggested I replace the main board and the intermitant board between the two. .......I still have them.

Hello sir; It's a fuser problem, but you need to reset, the procedure as follow; Press and holding down following keys in order, "stop/reset", "start", and "left copy density", then press "stop/reset" key again, then enter U63 press "start", window will display "CLE", press start again to clear.

I am getting an error code on my CS-1500 that says C-6 then 020. Unplugging and restarting do no good. Any idea what's wrong? Tom

That is a HIGH temperature detect error code.
Check the thermistor, if you measure 0 ohm resistance in the thermistor, replace it.

Press the stop/clear key, start key
and the left copy exposure adjustment
key in the order presented and hold
them down.
Press the stop/clear key.
Enter the number of the maintenance
item to be executed using the copy
exposure adjustment keys or the zoom
+/- keys.
Go to U163 and hit the Start Key, this will reset the trouble code.

Kyocera cs 1820 or copystar = error message = 3200

3200 is a problem with the exposure lamp. If you are in a dirty enviroment, the problem could be dirty mirrors under the scanner glass.
