Creative Zen V Screen not working

All of a sudden my creative zen v screen has stopped working. Its not after getting a fall or anything and has just stopped working although I can still hear music being played. Any ideas?

It still records sound, plays music and links to my pc but the screen doesn't show anything at all.

My creative zen keeps freezing when I switch it on. I've pressed the reset button but it goes straight back to the song it froze on. It hasn't been droped or anything.

I USED TO OWN A ZEN NANO WHICH WAS DURABLE, BUT NOW I HAVE A ZEN V WHICH I'VE DROPPED A FEW TIMES AND AFTER A WHILE THE SCREEN STOPS WORKING IT'S BLACK BUT IT STILL PLAYS ALL OF MY MUSIC. HOW CAN I FIX THAT?

Its possible that an internal component has come loose. this happens with alot of phones too. you should contact the manufacturer or where you got it from. perhaps you still have the warranty in this? hope this helps :)

"its possible that an internal component has come loose"

the screen panel on the front comes off with a pop and slide.
(not sure if this will void the warranty)
grab it from the sides (volume control and lock) theres a grove for a nail
once you pop her and slide the screen panel off.
investigate there should be one wide connection to the screen from the main board
thats the component that could have come loose
check that, see if its alright.
also check the glass behind the screen
if its cracked thats from pressure in your pocket/in general or temperature cracking it at some point. thats end game.

Zen v plus

I guess it broke.
Try re-installing the firmware, it's worth a try.
If this doesn't work, it means the screen is dead..

you can get it fixed for free if it's still under warranty.

Creative Zen Firmware Problem

about this issue of creative zen wherein the device is not booting up to the normal os. and is not being detected by your computer, and giving you options to clean, reset, and format. my brother and i own creative zen, my brother own zen 4GB and i own 16gb. i don't have any problems at all. but my brother does. what i did is i just download the firmware version of my brother's zen that is missing which is version 1.03.04_0.6.1. unfortunately you will not find this firmware version at creative website. i checked a website and i found this. it's at http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/Other-DRIVERS-TOOLS/Others/Creative-ZEN-4-8-16-GB-Firmware-10304.shtml
just perform this steps and you're good to go.
1. download the firmware for your zen. 2. connect your zen to your pc. 3. run the executable file (firmware). 4. just follow the on-screen instructions on your computer and you're good to go.
hope that this step will help you guys out.
if you have any questions about fixing this kind of problem. or if this step won't help you. email me at [email protected]
