Says restart printer, if message continues contact support?
SOURCE: Dell 3100CN Error Message
I am a publisher here in Seattle printing full color books with this machine and I have just gotten the same message- Does anyone have a solution- I have Googled and checked everything... Now, this happened to me a few months ago and I pulled out the drum and sprayed it with air, replaced it and it worked fine for about two months- now I get the error again- does this help in the problem solving?

Open the printer using the button on the side top right. You will see two gray things with arrows going left and right. move them both two where you can take out the piece it is hold in. Pull out the large piece and put it back in. Close the two gray things to lock it back into place. Close the printer and restart it. It should fix your issue. It must of became loose at one point when I was moving so I fiddled with it and turns out that was the issue. It works great now!!

The new magenta cartridge you put in is bad. If you put the old one back in then you get the low toner message. Take the new cartridge back and get another new one. I found the answer on the dell troubleshoot website

There's not much on the web about this error message, but it does say to reseat the fuser. I found a writeup (with a picture) on how to do this.

Make sure that your printer is unplugged while you do this, also be aware that the fuser gets quite hot while it's printing and stays hot for a few minutes afterwards. Don't burn yourself! While the fuser is out you may want to blow out the dust from the printer with a can of compressed air.
If reseating the fuser doesn't get rid of the error message call Dell technical support at 1-877-293-1197.
Hope this helps
Please rate this solution, thanks!

This is yet another error message asking you to restart the printer. You need to switch off the printer and then connect it via the USB cable. Press the hold and cancel buttons simultaneously. Then power on the printer again. On your LCD display you should typically see a message saying 'ready for download mode'. You will then need to initialize the firmware update process. LCD will change to the writing mode. 10 minutes later you will be prompted to start the printer again.
The firmware is available here:
