I have a Gardena C1060 plus solar water timer. I've just brought it out for the spring. It has been stored in a lighted place all winter, to allow the batteries to continue functioning. However, when I press the manual button the timer flickers for less then a second (showing 30 minutes of manual use) then goes back to the program mode. Has anyone got a solution for this problem - not being able to operate it manually?

Also Google search "Gardena C1030 .pdf" or "Gardena C-1030 .pdf"
Be sure and add .pdf to search parameter to help isolate manuals from other internet posts
Gardena for some reason does not have manuals easily available as of today's date.

I've been pointed to a solution which has worked for me. The problem is that sometimes the solenoid gets stuck and needs to be back-flushed.
Cause 2: Due to long periods of storage, in particular new water computers or timers may have jammed or sticky solenoid valves which do not open immediately. Occasionally this also occurs with water computers which are put back into use after the winter break. Solution: Reverse flush the water timer by following these instructions. Unscrew the unit from the water tap. Connect a hose to the water tap in its place. Connect the other end of the hose to the outlet of the water computer (the inlet of the watering computer must remain open). Turn on the water tap and actuate the manual ON / OFF switch on the watering timer 5 times for about 4 seconds each. Then replace the water computer on the water tap. The blockage should now have been cleared.
