Forgot my password...need to access to set up a new computer.

If you have a working Windows wireless machine, you can extract the key from the Windows machine and use it on your other devices.
Download this: http://download.cnet.com/WirelessKeyView/3000-2092_4-10614187.html
and then run it.

You can learn the WEP or WPA key in use which you can then use on other devices.
If there are no other working wireless devices, you will need to log on to your access point and reset the password there. The instructions for that depend on your access point.

How can i find my password for my motorola SBG900 modem

Passcode is on the label on the bottom of the modem. To configure security, default code is "admin" and password is "motorola". If you are trying to log onto the wireless signal, that is the WPA-PSK code also found on the label. There are way too many codes on this router/modem - but it works well once you have it running!

How do I access the modem to add device

Try using the WPA-PSK code on the labels that came with the device. It's confusing - this particular number is not identified as a security code, but it is.

I have a Motorola surfboard want to create wireless network

Should do it during set-up. More than likely you are having a problem because the modem comes pre-configured with wireless security enabled. Use the WPA-PSK code found on the label on the bottom of the router/modem or on the extra labels.

Can not print through my printer

Your printer has to be a network printer first of all. You cannot print through access to the computer it is hooked up to. If it truly is a network computer then you can get the WEP or WPA key by accessing the router via a computer that can go online. Google the IP address for the model number and make sure you also google the default username and password. If you cannot get into the router because someone set a new user and password then reset the router by pushing the reset button on the router. You can then go into your router and access the passcodes and info in "Wireless Security". It will list your net name and passphrase if using a WPA or a WEP key if using a 128 or 64 bit encoding. Use the highest encrytion you can. If your using XP you will have to use a WEP key (don't argue this you other experts) as XP is not really happy with WPA. Vista, although it sucks is good at networking and can use the higher WPA encryption choices. Vista is based on NT which was built to network well so it can do amazing things when trying to network it is just the rest of the program that sucks. Be Well

Cannot connect 2 computers to Motorola SBG900 wireless cablemodem

mac and pc security keys are not interchangable. I suggest not using a a key for both units. You can reset the router by unplugging it for 1 minute. or you gain access to the router through the web address. 192.168.1.1 Type this into the address bar to gain access to the router.
