next you would be using a single point plug ( car plug) when it would be better to use a mulit point plug ( anti fouling plug) that is available from good spares shops , motor bike shops and marine shops You mention that it fouls after sitting over night
can you comment of the fouling condition( wet , black, oil ,carbon build up etc ) as the information all points to a problem area.

Did you notice if there was oil on the spark plug wires after you pulled the wires? If so you may need to replace the valve cover gaskets. They keep oil from going on the spark plug wires which in turn can cause the mis fire.

at pump housing is an upper/lower bleeder ( about 1/2 inch bolt ) unscrew the bolt letting air out until water runs out than tighten turn on unit and loosen bleeder again bleed out any leftover air tighten

Uninstall the softwear that came with your ipod and Reinstall it.
