Remove door to replace seal

Open machine door then turn power off. Remove 3 bolts on front of machine. Remove the soap draw and remove the 2 (or 3) screws.Separate the front of the door seal from the metal front of the machine and fold the door seal in towards the drum. Front of whole machine will now hinge open (there is a spring catch at the bottom where the pump filter is - so dont be scared to use a little force). Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the metal wire clamp that sits around the door seal. Once off, door seal can be removed from the outer drum. Replace with new door in reverse order. Note that putting on the new door seal to the outer drum is a bit of an art and may take you a few attempts (so be patient but persistant), as you must make sure it is seated in position correctly. Good luck.

Remove the door makes the job easier. Using a table lay the door with door seal in the upright position. Pinch and pull the door seal over to one side to expose the door seal screws. Remove screws and gasket/ seal and install the new door seal in the reverse order.

I also need to replace the door seal on my Whirlpool AWZ 410 washer. Does anybody have detailed instructions of how to do this for this particular machine model (not generic instructions) & know if it is necessary to remove the front panel on this machine in order to remove the existing seal please?

Remove the wire clamp securing rubber seal to front of washer, pull seal of front of washer, this will give you clear access to tjhe door hinge, ondo the 2 screws securing the door hinge, remove door ,and seperate the 2 door halves by removing the screws securing it together
Replace with new hinge, fit back in reverse order.

Since you wrote your question 13 months ago, I'm guessing the problem is solved. Still, for others experiencing the same issue, here's my answer.

We also experienced leaking on our Miele 858 Incognito dishwasher and were able to replace the bottom door seal (today) without removing the door.

First, call the Miele Parts Dept @ 800-999-1360 to place an order for the door seal, which is part #3920725.

Remove the defective seal by loosening the four screws at the bottom of the door. Pull the black rubber seal out and discard. Install the new part in the same spot (underneath the green flange). Tighten the screws and you'll be in business.

You'll have to find the screws that hold the door skins together. Take them out, replace the seal & reverse the order.

why ? is it torn and leaking or just mildew? if not torn cleaning best bet with chlorine bleach and water.if you still want to change it remove spring front front edge pull seal back toward drum on back section big clamping band remove band pull seal off and reinstall reverse order can be a dog if not experienced good luck

THE TRUE IS .. replace a door seal is a little pain to replace. YOU HAVE TO INSTALL RIGHT. ( some model using silicon. if you are patient. and able to remove aroun 30 screws. do it. if not. better call a tech........good luck.............................. LEAVE A COMMENT IF IT WAS GOOD FOR YOU
