How do I install 2 additional 12v lead acid batteries to a removable battery box in an electric scooter that already has 4 - 12v batteries?


How are the batteries wired? If they are wired series the system is 48V and adding 2 batteries won't be easy (need a DC to DC converter with enough capacity to be useful). If they are wired parallel then just keep adding in parallel.

It is possible that the 4 batteries are wired as 2 pair of 2 in series for a 24V system. IN that case wire additional batteries in series then the PAIR in parallel with the 2 pair already in place.

Dell wireless mouse M787C batteries are wired in Parallel not in series...


Hello All, I just received a Dell All in One Computer with the M787c wireless mouse. I installed 2 fresh batteries and noticed after 3-4 minutes one of the batteries was getting warm? I removed that battery and the mouse LED light was still working. SO the M787c mouse was working as it should with only ONE Battery!
I checked wiring of the batteries and found that the Batteries were WIRED in Parallel. Wiring batteries in parallel is not a very good Electrical practice, at all!
I am sure that many owners of this mouse have gone through many batteries because of the miss wiring.
If you mouse does not work with properly with one battery if you are mechanically inclined you can disassemble the Mouse and rewire the batteries in SERIES.
There are 4 screws on the bottom of the mouse, 2 in the bottom underneath the front gliders, and 2 in the top. Happy fixing. Rob

How do i wire 2 batteries together but still get the same voltage but twice the amount of amps


Wire the batteries in parallel to double amp output.

With batteries, you can increase voltage or amperage by choosing to wire in series or in parallel.
For example D batteries are 1.5 volts.
Wire two D batteries in series, or stacked on top of each other like in flashlight, and you get 3 volts, but same amp output as one battery.
Wire two D batteries parallel, so the + terminals are connected together with one wire, and - terminals are connected together with another wire, and you get 1.5 volts, but twice the amps as one battery.
Test this yourself with two D batteries and a multimeter.

I have 4 x 12v batteries 7ah each. if i put these 4 batteries together . how many volt and AH would this be. please reply . thank you


It depends on how you connect the batteries. If you connect the negative of battery one to the positive of battery 2, the negative of battery 2 to the positive of battery 3 the negative of battery 3 to the positive of battery 4 then the positive of battery 1 and the negative of battery 4 will give you 48v 7AH. (This is known as connecting in series.)

If you connect the four positives together. Connect the 4 negatives together it will give you 12v 28 AH. (This is known as parallel connection.)

If you connect the negative of battery 1 to the positive of battery 2. Connect the negative of battery 3 to the positive of battery 4. Connect the positive of battery 1 to the positive of battery 3 and the negative of battery 2 to the negative of battery 4. You'll get 24v 14AH from the connection of the positive of battery 1 and battery 3, and the negative of battery 2 to battery 4. (This is known as series parallel connection)

Changing the omes of a 4 10'' bass cabinet


i guess ur talking about four nos of  4ohms 10" speakers. two speakers of four ohms connected in series gives 8 ohms, but if u use parallel connection u will get half of individual ohms i.e 2 ohms. so connect two speakers in series and another two speakers in series. parallel the two serial speakers and voila... u get a 4ohms speaker with double the wattage.
parallel connection - connect +ve to +ve and -ve to -ve.
series connection - connect -ve of one speaker to +ve of another speaker so that u have +ve input to one speaker and ground(-ve) on the second speaker.
So, two separate series speaker then parallel the two series speakers.
