i have sanyo vpc-ca8ex waterproof camera when i power it on a red light blinks what's the problem?

hi, your camera problem isn't clear but sound like shutter unit does not initializing. I don't think you can save. It is not simple job for if the shutter problem then local repair shop would charge you $65 to 135 mostly. good luck with you

Have you checked its batteries? Replace the batteries and turn it on again.

Where can I find the Sanyo Xacti MPEG-4 AVC manual?

its a fult with in the camcorder program chips only thing you can do is get it repaired or buy a new camcorder witch may work out cheeper

Have you actually tried to format the card in the camera and you still get these messages?

Radio Shack has a replacement adaptor for the Xacti VAR-G9,
You need the following 5V DC (Five Volts Direct Current) 2.0A   (Minimum 2.0Amps - more is OK, less is not)
The TIP is positive.
The unit I purchased from RadioShack is P/N273-1696 and works great for my Xacti.
Make sure you don't have any little kids who may change the switch setting from +5V to something larger.
Also pay CAREFUL attention to the TIP  voltage on the adaptor. The Sanyo takes a + Tip.  
There are other cheaper solutions as well, but this unit can be re-used with other gadgets.
My Sanyo VAR-G9 AC adaptor failed after TWO DAYS out of the box, so I can't recommend buying a Sanyo VAR-G9, until Sanyo fixes their manufacturing problems with the units.

I connected my Sanyo VPC - 603 digital camera to an AC/DC adaptor due to battery malfunctions. After about 5 seconds, i heard a spark sound and the camera went off. What might have gone wrong? How can it be repaired?
