Can't get my Officejet4620 HP printer to connect to the internet

follow the printer instructions in your manueal ur printer looks like 8600 pro or newer 8620,8630 I have no problems with my password I do have 8600 pro call hp they will walk u thru it complete

your computer need send some troubleshooting file to HP support center through internet

HP Deskjet 6540 will not support Wireless network connectivity.

Standard Connectivity:

Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable 2.0 compatible. The HP Deskjet 6540 printer includes two USB ports. One port is located at the back of the printer and one is located at the front for easy access.

Download the software on a computer that is connected to the internet and transfer the file(s) via a flash drive or via your network (if connected to a LAN).

If this issue occurs, after installing the new version or revison of internet explorer then try to download the "Critical update to resolve an issue with HP Director after installing a new revision of Internet Explorer" from HP Website if the operating system is Windows XP.

If this issue occurs, in general follow the below instructions to solve the issue.

1. Download the HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer
2. Install the HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer while installing do not connect USB cable at any point of time if it asks, check USB connect later
3. Download the HP PSC 1210 All-in-One Printer
4. Install the HP PSC 1210 All-in-One Printer connect the USB cable when it asks to connect

Download the printer full feature software based upon your operating system.

If you have an internet connection and as long as your printer is hooked to the internet, you can go to the HP website and install an active X to have your printer be auto detected. You should find the software that way. go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

I am assuming that you also connect your printer via USB cable. If so, it is possible that there is a conflict of your printer and wireless card in your USB settings.
To check if there are any conflicts, click on "system" in your control panel, select "device manager" , and look for your wireless card, printer and usb ports in the list of devices.
Double click on these devices and then click on the "resources tab at the top. Check to see that the resources are free and that there are no conflicting resources.
