Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-34HS420 34" TV
I have a problem with the screen on the T V. The sides of the screen has turned green. The T V is two years old. I have tried unplugging for 3 minutes but this has not resolved the problem. This is the second T V with the same problem, as they replaced the first T V after a week of purchasing it. Please HELP.
If you have coloured patches down the sides of the screen they are normally caused by one of three things.
1,strong magnet fields close to the t.v. e.g.hifi loudspeakers. The cure would be to move the speakers away from t.v. Switch t.v. off for up to forty mins at the switch and then try again.
2,failure of deguase circuit inside t.v. a job for an engineer/tech do not go poking about inside tv's if you do not know what you are doing, very very dangerous.
3,sony t.v.'s do get problems with their scan yokes sliding down the neck of the tube, they are wedged and glued into place, the glue gives and the yoke can move.Again this is a job for an engineer /tech.
