Entered three wrong codes how to fix

I went to feed our kids dog while they are away and I made an entry mistake on the key pad three times and now it won't respond to the correct code. Does the lock reset itself automatically after a period of time. If so how long will it take?

  • Remove the inner cover plate from the lock.
  • Locate the small round reset button near the left side of the circuit board (Red or Black).
  • To program, press the reset button once, then enter your 4-8 digit code on the exterior keypad, then immediately press the middle lock button on the exterior keypad. You will hear a beep. This signals that your code has been accepted.
  • To enter a second code, follow the same procedures as in step 3, but this time press the reset button twice then enter your code.

This is the relevant excerpt from the Powerbolt programming and troubleshooting instructions:

"To determine why your lock is beeping abnormally, please follow these steps:

Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
If it does not beep, the keypad needs to be replaced (17733-1).
If the unit continues to beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced (A17734-3,3 Powerboard 1470 brass finish; A17734-3,26D Powerboard 1470 satin chrome finish; A17734-3,5 Powerboard 1470 antique brass finish)."

Since you've already gone through the battery change, try the battery remove-reinstall recommended above. If that doesn't work for you it suggests that you need to replace the appropriate Powerboard for your lock.

I suggest calling the appropriate toll-free number and having a conversation with a representative about this problem. You will want confirm that you need the part before you go through the expense, and that it's worth it. You will need to know the "finish" of your lock. Try to talk them into warrantying the part, in spite of the age (one year warranty on electronics), as a matter of good customer relations. They will help you get the correct part on order.

How do i delete original keyless entry code from my 2004 Ford Expedition??...


I assume you are talking about the door unlock/lock pad on the driver's side of the Expedition. If you are talking about the key fob and electric door locks, then you will have to go to the dealer to have your keys programmed as they have the correct equipment to do this. Neither the factory nor dealers want the codes to be made public as any could then make a copy of your car key and, voila, your car vanishes without a trace.

Since we are assuming that you want to change the entry code on the optional external keypad, it is a rather easy chore that only takes a few steps.

First, you will have to locate the original code that was programmed into your keypad. To find the original code, check the owner's manual or the documentation you received with your Expedition, if you still have it. If not, you will have to contact either your dealer's service department or Ford directly. At this time -- before you start reprogramming the code -- it's a good time to sit down and to figure out a new five-digit code and write it down.

Once you have the code, enter it on the keypad and quickly press the 1-2 buttons (you have five seconds).

Next, take the five-digit code you put on paper earlier and enter it one digit at a time. Be sure you have entered the number correctly because your window to enter each figure is only five seconds.

The entry system will respond by unlocking and locking the system. This confirms that the programming has been successful.

Feed Dogs


when the feed dogs are in the up position the sewing machine
will sew
but when the feed dogs are down postion it will darn
try the feed dog lever again if you can move the feed dog lever and
the feed dogs respond going up and down then you know that
the feed dogs are working and are not broke
but if they do not respond then they need to be checked to see what's
wrong with them

I dropped the feed dogs and they won't come back up.


Ignore all the other comments, they are wrong.
The feed dogs are driven by the feed driver mechanism, turn the hand-wheel forward and the feed dogs will come up. (Providing you have the feed dog switch to the up position).

My Janome Harmony 1017 won't sew all the zigzag stitches. Stitches 5,7 and 8 bog down after just two or three stitches because the fabric isn't moving through the machine. Any suggestions?


when the fabric does not move then the feed dogs under the needle plate need to be checked to see if there up or down.
if the feed dogs are down then the lever or switch needs to be pushed up into the correct position
if the feed dogs are up & they are not moving the fabric like there suppose to, cause it's there job to move the fabric against the presser foot,, then they need to be check

the gears that do the zig zag stitches should be checked to make sure there not worn & weather they might need be be greased

I do not have my paper work anymore so i went online and got my code but i do not remember which buttons and what order to push them. can you please help.the remote is a rcr312w


  1. These instructions come from the RCA website. The crucial step is to keep pressing the reverse button.
  2. Turn on the component (the tv, dvd, etc).
  3. Hold the TV (or DVD) button and the on/off button at the same time until the on/ff button remains lit.
  4. Press the play button every five seconds until the component turns off.
    • Each time the Play button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks ten times and a block of 10 codes is sent to your component. This process continues until all the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If the component has not turned off after all codes have been searched, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks four times, turns off, and the Auto Code Search Entry method is exited.
  5. When the component turns off, press and release the REVERSE button, then wait two seconds to see if the component turns on again.
  6. If the component does not respond, continue to press the REVERSE button EVERY TWO SECONDS UNTIL THE COMPONENT TURNS ON again. This will isolate the correct code in the last block of codes sent. Each time the REVERSE button is pressed, the illuminated ON-OFF button blinks.
    • If the REVERSE button is accidentally pressed after the component responds, press and release the FORWARD button. Wait two seconds to see if the component turns off again.
  7. To save the new code, press and release the STOP button.
  8. The illuminated ON-OFF button turns off. You must press the STOP button to save the code.
To Enter Code
Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control (TV, VCR, DVD, satellite receiver or cable box). 2. Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR•DVD, SAT•CBL) you wish to program. The illuminated ON•OFF key turns on and remains on. If you release the component key at any time during the Direct Code Entry procedure, the illuminated ON•OFF key blinks four times, and the process is exited. 3.While holding down the component key, enter the four-digit code While you are pressing the numbers, the illuminated ON•OFF key turns off. 4.After the fourth number is entered,the illuminated ON•OFF key turns on. At this time, release the component key. If the illuminated ON•OFF key turns off, you have entered a valid code and have followed the correct procedure for Direct Code Entry. If you enter a code number that is not in the Code Lists or you do not follow all of the steps for Direct Code Entry, the illuminated ON•OFF key blinks four times when the component key is released. This is an indication that a programming error has occurred. In that case, repeat the Direct Code Entry process from step 2 and try the next code listed.

The unlock code usually only goes on if you previously put one on there. I would suggest calling Kenwood but there is a guy that claims he can fix this i have never tried this but you can. http://mike-unlockcodes.blogspot.com/

Driver door module is where to look also a broken or corroded wire and if you use your key to punch in the door code then the key pad has a hole in it or it just went bad it's not the remote control also check the master door lock switch for corrosion at the pins and the plugs same with the driver door module
