Ok one night I was watching a movie on my RCA HD56W66 I turned the tv off the next day I turned the tv back on and all of the colors were messed up. I tried to change the convergence to see if it would help but when I was trying to change it nothing was happening, all of the colors stayed the same. The picture is all blurred and you can see every color. Please Help
Is the convergance listed in the menu? if the convergance is not listed in the menu anymore, and no convergance....there is a specific fix....on the deflection PCB the +40 volt source is missing or much lower voltage. This is, i think diode #DL231 which is coming off the flyback transformer. The diode may be shorted or open and the fusible in line may be open....I have also had bad print & bad connections on the flyback do that also....i have had the as an intemittant type problem as well, but the +40vdc must be there! good luck! let me know what you find....

Visit www.TvRepairKits.com. You will find a solution. You must have your model number. You are concerned about a convergence problem. I have repaired a few of these. This website will guide you to a repair. I recommend this to others with the same problem. Thanks for asking, and show me some hands of support!
hi.. It sounds like the color wheel has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is located behind the back panel... replacing a new colour wheel will solve ur problem..
It is in shutdown mode. You have an "overvoltage" (regulation) problem or their is a short in one of the many components causing it to be in "over current" mode. Could be as simple as a bad solder connection. This will take someone with some knowledge of the circuits and test equipment to diagnose.
Hello ChupacabraV2, This is a scene from some horror movie. I bet , if you unplug it, the TV will still be on!!....Just messing with you. Its been several days since you posted this problem. Please post update if there is any change. I don't think you have the TV on all this time. Let us know
It is possible that while programming the remote you got into the menu on your TV and adjusted the color control. Go back into the menu and find the controls for color, contrast, tint and etc. If the color bar is all the way to the left, then adjust it to go to the right until you get enough color. This is just one possible solution. Hope this corrects the problem.
