Outlook disappeared on the laptop

you need to connect to your service provider and then setup the outlook settings correctly for help in the settings contact your email provider, if your useing a email like gmail the instructions are on the gmail help section.

It would be very unusual for Outlook to cause this problem.
More likely that its a system data corruption.
What did you do which preceded this problem,,because that would be the easiest fix,,is to reverse what ever you have done to it.

Save the document to your computer, Right click on the attachment, select "open with", then select MS Word.

First try a reboot if you haven't done so already. If you have done this, try uninstalling and then re-installing Outlook Express. To do this, click on START, then Control Panel and then ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS. On the left hand side, click ADD/REMOVE WINDOWS COMPONENTS. Scroll down the list and uncheck Outlook Express. Click next and let it uninstall. Now restart your computer and do the exact same thing as i mentioned above but just put a check next to it and then click next. It will install and you should be good.

right click on a empty space near the top of your address bar and see if it's unchecked
