Sd unknown capacity

Make sure the device you're trying to use this in says it will work with this capacity (4GB) and type (SDHC).

Many older devices can not cards of this capacity and greater, or work with SD (not SDHC) cards - even though they look identical.

If the device is suitable for use with these capacities and types, next check the list of the specific cards supported. You should be able to find this either in the manual or an updated list on the manufacturer's website.

Good luck!

My computer wont read my sandisk 4gb

It is just possible that your computer cannot handle (read/write) HC (High Capacity) types of memory.
Test it in another (newer system) and check again.
Otherwise, you can buy an USB cardreader which can handle SDHC cards.

When I try to synk music it tells me I cant because is write protected. How do I cleared it?

1. Be sure that the device you are using the 4GB micro SDHC card for,
is able to use this type (HC=High Capacity) of memory.
2. Check the memory card is working well on a notebook / pc with an adaptor
and/or a SD-cardreader.
3. Format the memory card and re-check.

Hello, quite possibly, it doesn't support the SDHC cards, only the older and much different (internally) SD cards which are a max size of 2GB. Regards, Nicam49

My sandisk wake ur phone up adapter 4gb isnt workin in the card slots on the tower

Please bear in mind, that 4GB cards will most likely be of the newer SD HC (Secure Digital - High Capacity) standard, which is not recognized by older devices that only support the basic SD specifications.
You have to try a 2GB card, or look for a non-HC 4GB card, but these are very hard to find.

I have a Kodak LS743 and am trying to put a new SD 4GB into it and it won't let me format it. WHY???

Hi,
Your Kodak LS743 camera is built to use the SD memory card standard - which only goes up to 2GB. Any SD card over 2GB is a new format called SDHC (high capapcity) and isn't compatible with the previous format. This is why you can't use your 4GB card - you have to use a 2GB card.

I can not format my memory card

Make sure that the device you are using specifically is to Micro SD High Capacity format and not just Micro SD. If it says just micro SD on the manuals or on the unit, it can only use a 2gb card.
