Question about Eureka 5892AVZ Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

1 Answer

Vaccuum issue I just bought a Eureka upright model 5892 BVZ, my concern is, I bought it on sale (floor model) and it didn't have a manual with it. I took it home and tried it, and although it appears to be working very well there is not dirt in the catch bin on the front of the unit. I tried the hose w/attachment and again it worked very well in picking up the cat hair, but where does the hair and the dirt go, I am afraid it is spitting it back out somewhere since I can not see anything in the canister.

If the dirt being vacuumed is not going into the dirt cup, then it must be just stuck in the hose and evenually will clog up. Check the hose and see it there is a clog in it, otherwise you have a years warranty on a new vacuum, take it into a warranty shop and have it checked out, take proof of purchase with you.

My Eureka 5892 BVZ-1 vaccum has very little suction. I checked hoes and emptied cup, and made sure filter is not dusty.

There are probably three filters, one on the back of the dust collection bin, one under the dust collection bin, and one where the air exits the vacuum, check all three.

I lost my instruction book how to take filters a part and it wont pick up so i need the instruction book. could you please send me the book. thank you.

This URL provides an exploded view of the unit, I will continue to search to see if I can find a free owners manual. This shows a BVZ as opposed to a AVZ, but I thought it would be close enough to be of help to you.

Keep the brush free of hair and thread, check your housing for excess wear and only use a genuine belt. As these uprights have gotten cheaper the reliability and durability has gone out the window. If within warranty consult a warranty center.
Sorry to say most bagless uprights are becoming disposable ,not highly serviceable....Retailers make huge money on expensive filters and in 3-5 years the vacs are in the landfill with unused filters still in your closet

No Suction

Your Power head is blocked with hair or dirt,,or the hose which connects the Upright with the power head is blocked.
Try taking a steel coat hanger apart (straighten it out) and then push it into the pickup hose to remove blockage.
