SOURCE: no steam comes out of iron

Hi, there is probably a something broken in the moulded plastic trigger assembly (there is a plastic broken finger that actuates a micro-switch under the rubber handle cover). If you are so inclined, use an orange stick and gently pry up the rubber handle cover on either side from the front to the rear cord end to access, inspect and troubleshoot. I am in SoCal and use the California Electric website to obtain parts or go to the Rowenta home website to locate useful manual information, PDF reader and dealer near you.

SOURCE: tefal proline express steam generator iron needs de scaling

Make a solution of half water and half white vinegar. Fill up your iron and get it good and hot then let it sit a couple hours. flush out and repeat as necessary. Hope you find this helpful. Please give me a fixya rating If this works for you. It works very well as long as it is not completely filled with scale. Once you have it good and clean By a gallon of bottled water at the market and use that for your Iron and you will never have a scale problem again. I learned how to do this 20 years ago from a 80 year old woman from england. If it is really bad you can up the vinegar concentration but do not go higher than 2 cup to 1.

SOURCE: I have a Swan S15040 steam generator iron, the

I had same issue , now , once you turn the unit on , you should see displayed 3 steam jets and the flashing standby , turn the dial on the iron to max ,press the steam button on the machine to max steam , leave for a minute or so , now press the steam button on the iron , does it make a noise ? if it does , slightly raise the whole front end of the unit ( easier if you have the iron on the worktop and not on the unit !) for a minute then try and press the steam button on the iron again . I think there is a bit of an issue about the conection between the water tank and the filter . This solved my issues and i do hope it will help you .

SOURCE: I have a Bosch Steam

Your steam generator my have mineral deposits that are clogging the steam openings. One of the easiest things to do is to pour out the water and add white vinegar. Let the vinegar sit for about 2 hours. Then turn on the iron and press the steam button until the deposits are loosened and flushed by the heat and steaming vinegar. Do this on a towel or other absorbent fabric so you don't stain your ironing board. You may need to unplug the iron, let it cool and then gently **** the steam vents with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
I hope this helps you. If it does, please rate my suggestion!

SOURCE: The iron heats up, but when the steam generator

Chemicals and minerals in the water have probably clogged the vents. Empty the water. Pour 1/2 cup WHITE vinegar into the reservoir. Turn on your iron and let it heat. Then press the steam generator button several times until the vinegar is gone. Unplug the iron. As it is cooling, take acotton swab and gently wipe the surface of the vents. You can probe GENTLY with the swab, but don't push it into the vent or the cotton head may get stuck.
As you're pressing the steam button, keep the iron in the ironing position, not standing. If the vinegar just will not come out of the vents, use a wooden toothpick to loosen the build up.
This always works well for me and I hope it does for you.
If so, please come back to Fixya and rate my advice!

Tefal Actis Steam Generator Iron. It is continuously pumping?

Question edited for clarity, remove text speak and toss in a load of CAPS.

According to the advertising, it is supposed to pump and generate loads of steam continuously.

Steam ironing Recommendations: To prime the steam circuit, either before using the iron for the first time, or if you have not used the steam function for a few minutes, press the steam control button several times in a row, holding the iron away from your clothes. This will enable any cold water to be removed from the steam circuit. • To obtain steam, press the steam output button under the iron handle. The steam will stop when you release the button. • After approximately one minute, and regularly while it is being used, your steam generator's electric pump injects water into the boiler. It makes a noise but this is quite normal.

I would try a liquid descaler like CLR and try to get liquid up into the head of the iron as well. My thought is that something is stuck with scale buildup.

The Tefal website has Customer Support and also says they are repairable.

Tefal Actis Steam Iron. It is ejecting massive amounts of steam out of the bottom of the generator, before I have even started ironing.

Hello again Julia

Despite my searching, I find that you are the only person to have this issue. I am guessing that you has a split in the steam tank, a bad connection to the steam tube, or a split tube. The only way would be to strip it down or take it in for repair. You could try contacting Tefal and see if you can get a warranty repair on it. Even if it is out of date, you can still ask.

Swan steam generator iron not steaming

The steam vents may be blocked. Add some vinegar into your iron box and try to steam for a few time. then clean the steam vent gently with a tooth pick. Drain out the added vinegar and start using your steamer as usual.

I have a Rowenta DG-980 steam generator. It spits little grains of something when I use my iron. It doesn't hurt my clothing, but I have to brush the stuff off my clothes when I am finished ironing them. I...

Hi, Rowenta recommends that you use clear filtered drinking or bottled water only. I believe them because the system uses brass & aluminum throughout, so salts or acids would cause corrosion. To clean the system totally, after each ironing session before I put it away, I remove the blue reservoir completely, and run the burst of steam several times until the boiler is empty, and red light indicates it is out of water. I shut the power off and unplug. Wait at least an hour or so, access the boiler tank plug on side & if it is cool to the touch, remove it using a coin (quarter), drain and flush the tank several times with the cleaning tube that came with unit or filtered/drinking bottled water several times over the kitchen sink. Finally, drain all the water completely out of the boiler (I leave the plug & cover off to making sure it is completely dry before putting everything back together, ready for the next time). After several use cycles of the above should clear out the debris. My 1st experience with a used DG980 had exactly the same problem. P.S. before ironing the first article, use several bursts of steam away from the ironing board surface to clear out any standing water that was is in the system. Hope this helps :O)

Euro-Pro Steam Generator EP8015 - Rocker switch

The screws holding the unit together are T-20 TORX screws; the center post makes them anti-tamper TORX screws. These screws are used in applications in which the manufacturer does not want the average consumer to attempt repairs. Please don't take this wrong, but if you have to ask about the "unusual 6-sided screw", then you shouldn't be opening the unit.

Unfortunately, when the heating element rocker switch gives out (3-4 years), it is usually about time to overhaul the entire iron (both the tank portion as well as the iron portion). Other things that can cause problems are the thermostat and the pressure actuator.

Contact A2A Consulting at 1-888-830-3563; they can probably fix the unit for you.

No steam

It appears that your rocker switch is broken, I am attempting to find a source for the switch and the screw driver that removes the screws holding the unit together
