Question about Toshiba DKT-2020 Corded Phone
I can't seem to get into the name display information. I have the booklet and so changed the display keys from "Soft Key Off" to "Soft Key On"; then the directions say to Press a [DN] + #621--then the current info. should appear and the you can change it with the dialpad. (Page 43 of the user guide) Instead when I push Line 1 (which is our main line) I get a dialtone and when I push #621 I get a busy signal. Am I doing something wrong?
The Toshiba phone you have can work on a few different Toshiba phone systems that program differently. Before I can look up the correct information to help you I will need to know which Toshiba phone system you have. Someone at the office should know but you can also track down the phone system and get a part number or other identifiable markings from it. Older Toshiba systems were typically a light gray color and the more phones you have the bigger it will be. The newer systems are usually dark gray (almost black) there will be a lot of wires going in and out of it and most likely a punch down block or two right next to it (white, about 12" tall, 3" wide, with hundreds of small metal pins to connect wires to.)
