** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !

If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First, try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there. You are simply switching. If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

I CAN'T INSTALL MY PRINTER HP DESKJET D2400

Hi mpc 124!
You didn't gave enough details on your problem so I will have to do a rundown of some of the details. Pleas bear with me....
In installing your printer, you will need the cd driver. The cd driver comes along with the printer. Once you plug the printer into the computer, it will automatically detects the printer. However, you will not be able to use it immediately until you load the driver.
If you don't have the cd driver, here's the link: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3317536&lang=en&cc=us&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=2510721
If you have the cd driver, all you need to do is load it in your cd/dvd reader and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope I have been of help.

How do you wipe out everything and put back regular settings on the mpc 2500

from the akai forums:

to set the os back to factory settings press and hold the erase key till the mpc has booted to the main screen.

to erase the harddisk goto either the load or save screen and then choose utility - there you will find the option to format the hdd.

you can also format the drive (or any inserted compact flash-card) from your computer thru the usb connection, but it is recommended to use the internal format because the mpc can be a little picky when you format it from the outside.

at first i would check if there is any folder or the internal memory is set to autoload and just turn that of or point it to another folder of you choice. that way you can keep the factory delivered sounds. maybe you want to use them later, even if it is just to explore the mpc. the factory sounds can be also downloaded later, but be advised that there are different iterations of the stock sounds, depending on whether your mpc shiped with a 32 or 128mb compact flash card.

also the mpc os is not on the harddrive but in the internal memory. to check the version hit mode-> pad10. latest official version is os 1.24. if your main srceen looks different than in the manual check double and triple before you do anything, because the previous owner might have installed the third party jj os which comes in different versions. some of them cost a lot of money! if you find this check the other forum here for the alternative os.

I can't hear any sounds in my mpc 4000

Have you loaded sounds for the pads from an internal or external storage device? (Such as CD or Internal Hard Drive, if installed) - each time you turn on the power, the programs are cleared so the pads will not make any noise until you load the sounds you want.

Otherwise, it could be related to your speaker setup?

Provide some details on your system setup and whether you are loading programs etc.

I insert my falsh drive into my mpc 1000 and i

First you must configure your PC to read your mpc 100
flush card. Just insert the software CD driver of your mpc
100 flush card, if you have the CD. Otherwise, you must
have a download from the internet for the software driver.

Help

When youre in LOAD or DISK mode, does the mpc allow you to scroll through the cd? In what format are the samples. If the sample doesnt load, it wont play, but when selected, it should allow you to preview the sound. The 4000 allows users to import/load SND and WAV files.

The MPC4K should allow you to sample right out the box, but make sure you have the latest OS.

http://www.akaipro.com/support.php

try the 4k FAQ..

http://www.akaipro.com/supportfaqsMPC4000.php

It's also covered in the manual with you can download for free @

http://www.akaipro.com/supportdocuments.php#Z248

I know, who wants to hit a manual when you want to bang out....I'm a classic 2K owner, trust me I know, but sometimes the 5 minutes in checking the methods, saves you downtime, and gets you into funk mode quicker..

The 4k is also the first Mpc to come with onboard sounds, so check a preset, then check your cd, and if youre getting audio from the preset, then you know it's not the sound generator / synthesis chip. If you have a computer, try itunes or sound converter to switch the sound format, or look for a really nice low end application called CDXtract.

If youre banging out on halloween, youre my kinda MPC user.

Keep me posted.
