Please do not unplug the power cord before POWER is shut down or during the two-minute cooling process.
If the projector is not properly shut down, to protect the lamp, the system will detect this and cool the lamp for two minutes automatically before turning on again.
Check that you are doing this.
I suspect that this is not your problem though.
It seems that the blue light doesn't flash very long. do any other lights come on during the startup process.
i hear that this is a common fault and that after a few minutes up to a few months they can just suddenly start working again if left plugged in... i have one which has just done the same thing i have taken it apart and checked everything minus the 10000 microchips... my advise would be check the main power board and see if the fuse is still good, the main power board is located in the front right of the projector and is a B!tc# to get at but if this is your problem it will have been worth doing. also be careful if you attempt this as there are alot of small connectors and ribbon cables... it is easily done if you know hat you are doing...
The
projector may not be receiving power or it may be malfunctioning. Turn
the projector off and unplug the power cord. Confirm the power cord is
securely connected to the projector and then plug the cord back in to a
different outlet and turn on the projector. If this does not solve the
problem, and another light is on or flashing, check the projector’s status.
Have you tried changing the power cord? Has it been damaged or fried?Has the internal onboard fuse blown?check the lamp and dust filter and that everything looks how it should and clean and normal.
try to replace the power cord and see if it makes the noise again. if it does, then there might be something wrong with the acutual projector, that I wouldnt be able to help you with and you might want to worry then.
This works on a couple different Toshiba models -- might work on yours...
Make sure the main power switch is OFF. Hold the "ON", "MENU", and "INPUT" buttons at the same time and turn the main power switch on. Keep them held until the yellow power standby light comes on, then let go. It is done.
