Why does it mean when my tomtom goes mo - GO Tomtom GPS

Load the software TomTom home onto your PC and then connect your TomTom to the PC via the USB cable and it will update automatically for free.

You should try to plug it into your computer and see if a software update is able to get the device to turn on. If the device has batteries it may be time to replace them.

it means that the software is missing or corrupt... very common with tomtom. you can connect to tomtom home and update the unit if that doesn't work give tomtom a call and ask them to go through the troubleshooting with them

As far as I know the green led means "write" & red led means "read". Don't increase time out on the SCSI card . If you press eject button wait 10 secs. If no response I think your MO drive having some problem . Or your jumper setting doesn't right.
I using t5-2600 on SunOS so I'm not exactly know what's problem on your drive. But Maxoptix MO drive very durable. I bought from ebay and manufacture date were 1999 . Oh my god . Just almost 10 years . And working good.

To get your TomTom to speak street names, you will need to change the voice from a recorded voice to a computer voice. This can be done by: 

• Connect your TomTom to your computer
  
• When the TomTom asks do you want to connect to the computer, choose Yes
• Open the TomTom Home application
• Click on the 'Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc.' button
• Click on the 'Voices' button
• Click on the 'Computer Voices' button

You can now select a voice to install on the device. 
Once you have installed a voice, change it by

• Disconnect the TomTom from your computer
• Turn on the TomTom
• Touch the screen to bring up the menu
• Touch 'Change Preferences'
• Touch 'Voice Preferences'
• Touch 'Change Voice'
• Use the Left / Right arrows to navigate to the voice you just installed (Look for the word 'computer' in the upper right corner by the male/female option)
• Touch the 'Select' button

you might want to try:

-- plug to the electrical charger, reset for 15+ secs
-- connect to the computer, download Tomtom app and try updating the application

I had a 2006 purchased go 700 and did the above and it is working much better with latest application.
