My pc does not recognize my sansa at all whan i hook it up what do i do?

New computer won't recognize Sansa


Disconnect from pc, go into sansa menu to USB then press center. It's probably set to MDM. Scroll to MSC, press button. Reconnect to pc & it'll probably show up

USB not getting recognized

Sansa c200 series – Computer/OS Not Recognizing
Connect the device to the PC in MSC Mode
View/c200: Turn on then press and hold the rewind button while plugging to the PC
If that fails, unplug the Sansa from the computer. Uninstall all the Sansa software in the add/remove programs section of Control Panel. Reinstall the clean version of the software from Sandisk’s website – make sure you get the files for the c200 series. Then replug the Sansa and try again. The root of the problem is that Sansa has one set of drivers and Windows has another. If you plug the mp3 player into the computer before installing the Sansa drivers, the Windows drivers will trump the Sansa’s.

Sansa c250

turn on the lock button and hold the record button and plug it in computer while you hold the button . easy as that hope it works for ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!it worked for me i think it will workfor you

it might be the USB port. that happens. try it on a different port (if you have a laptop, test it out on a friend's computer)

Connceting to computer

type in (drive here):\MUSIC to access the music folder or ..VIDEO for video folder. Then it acts like a hard drive.

PC does not recognize the player when hooked up to the USB port to download music.

what os do you have xp or ? if its xp have your mp3 hooked up before hand and goto start then my computer and right click that then properties/harware/device manager-disk drives right click your mp3 and uninstall it.Then unhook it from your pc restart the pc and hook it back up your pc will find it again and should work from there
