Problem with Wireless infra red spy camera

I have bought a wireless infra red spy camera. The problem is that the receiver can't find the camera. The camera gives a signal when I connect straight with TV.I have opened the camera and a yellow cable is cut and goes nowhere. There are 2 plaque (or plates). The yellow cable begins from the plaque that has to do with the wireless. So my problem is where it goes the yellow cable to the other plaque?

How do i setup a astsk 840t wireless camera with a astak 2.4 wireless reciever to a tv with rv jacks ?? What jumper do i buy??

Hello James Waligora,

I've had a lot more trouble trying to decipher what we are talking about "rv" jacks ...

and since you provided ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE about the
"TV" ... I'm just going to BULLDOZE ahead with
my OWN conclusions... "TYPICALLY" will be used a lot.

ASTAK 2.4GHz cameras are a pretty straight forward
set-up ... with the receiver POSITIONING being your only challenge... Two REGULAR Twin LEAD RCA jack ended
cords should be sufficient... LEAD LENGTH is for your ease of adjusting for best reception.

If you already have ECHO, ALEXA... x10 devices (etc.) you
can TYPICALLY expect interference

The yellow is all you need for "video" the OTHER
you can stick in the red or white audio input of your "TV"
for sound (red typically means right side
(Left being what's left... again typically white)

from the RED, BLUE GREEN inputs...
While they are VIDEO... they are called "composite"
and ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with your single lead
Yellow corded RCA PLUG...!!

** Don't even try: Not compatible... not.

TYPICALLY 2.4 GHz is low power straight line
(easily interrupted radio signal that is over used)...

ASTAK instructions:
(ah... ) they do come with manuals... but the FIRST SITE
I attempted to access for you set off EVERY internet security protection I have... EXERCISE CAUTION THERE...!!!

I am looking for a camera that I can hide somewhere in my house to record what is going on inside and view the recordings online either recorded or live.

Here is a list of many PTZ, IP cams from one of the best electronic sites on the internet.

As for a specific camera, I have used this one and love it.

Wireless Router:

  • Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. Be sure to try both channels if the first one you try does not work. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available). (The "Channel" setting is typically found in the "Wireless" section of your router's setup utility.)

  • If adjusting the "Channel" did not work, please review our "Slow Download Times or Errors Received While Connecting" troubleshooting tips by clicking here.

  • Are you using a Netgear brand wireless router? Our expeirence shows disabling the "SPI Firewall" of the router may help the connection. The "SPI Firewall" option is typically found under the "WAN Setup" tab of the router's settings. For information on accessing your router's settings, please click here and select the model of the Netgear router you own (if available).

  • If you are still receiving this error code, please click here for assistance.

The infra red receiver and detector on my model 65XWX20B projection tv is working intermittently and I think it needs replacement.

Bad batteries and/or clips making poor contact are suspect. The actual detector and transmitter are pretty reliable.

Another possibility is an inteerfering signal such as wireless infared headphones which the transmitter emits continuously. Also a wireless mouse/keyboard could interfere with the signals and effectively block the control from your remote.

Cannot connect wireless keyboard and mouse

I am assuming that this is an INFRA-RED device, with
    plug and play capability.

    1) Make sure that the infra-red port is turned ON on your PC,
in the BIOS and in Windows (using control panel)

    2) Make sure that the infrared driver is working:

My Computer ==> Right Click ==> Properties ==>
    Hardware ==> Device manager ==> ....

Find the Infra-red device and check its status.

Some laptops have a mechanical switch witch controls all
wireless ports. If you shut-off the Wi-Fi, the blue-tooth and
the infra-red will also be disabled.

    3) Check for tiny reset buttons on the keyboard, mouse and
    the receiver. Press them repeatedly.

    4) If the device is communicating, and infra-red ICON
should appear on you taskbar (RHS).

Right click the icon and make sure you enable IR
    communications AND plug and play.

    5) Make sure you have installed any drivers that came with
    the keyboard, if any.

    6) Again, make sure that infra-red communications are enabled
    in the control panel.

    5) Failing that, it is possible that the keyboard is defective,
or the infra-red port on your laptop is NFG, it would not
    be the first time.

    6) You may want to take your keyboard to a computer
shop, and ask the staff the try it with a different PC.

Alternately, try a different keyboard with the laptop.
