Water remains in the drum (Maytag washer).

Is it normal to hear the sound of water (lots of water) when you spin the drum after the wash circles had completed?

Thank you very much for your help.

I brought a house few days ago. I was very excited as the washer and dryer look new and fancy (. However, after I did some research on the web, I had learned that the machines were the most "notorious" models as described on the web.)

After few test runs, I did find some problems, such as water remains, bad smells, and mold on the inside rubber parts of the door and drum.

My problem is: can these problem be fixed? Or, I should get new machines?

    Thanks again!

NO, there is a small blockage within the drainage system. check the following to combat this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

I recommend the purchase of a new machine in this case. the existing repairs need for this unit will exceed the actual price of a new unit.

It will be more cost effective to just purchase a new unit, verses repairing the old.

My Maytag Neptune Washer Model MAH3000AWW, Serial 35269627WB drains the visible water that can be seen inside the drum, but then does not drain the rest of the water that remains between the drum and its...

Hello, The earlier Maytag Neptune front loaders have a balance ring on the inner tub that has liquid in it and that causes the sloshing sound when you turn the tub by hand. That is normal.

I noticed that you have a MAH3000... Have you replaced your door latch wax motor yet? If not, it will fail and damage your control board located behind the timer. See NeptuneHelpSong for a video that explains the failure.

I hope this helps...

When I hand turn the drum I still hear water behind the drum please help

You most likely are not hearing water remaining in the tub. You are hearing the water slosh around in the balance ring that is attached to the spin basket. There is a balance ring attached to the spin basket that is half filled with water. When the basket is turned by hand you will hear the water in the balance ring. This is normal.

Maytag Neptune washer always has water in the drum after wash is done? Any ideas? I can hear lots of water left in the washer when I spin the drum manually and of course it has a moldy smell having water...

The liquid is a saline solution which is hermetically sealed in the front balance ring on the spinner. It is there to reduce vibration and acts like a gyroscope when the spinner revolves. Good sound to hear when you spin the basket. The smell can be gotten rid of by using a washing machine cleaner like tide.

You can hear water behind the drum when you spin

I don't believe you have a problem with your washer. It is NORMAL to have residual water in the drain lines and drain pump following a wash cycle. You will be able to hear the water sloshing around if you move the drum or drain lines. This is the lowest point of the drain cycle and gravity will ALWAYS cause some water to be there. As long as the water is not visible in the spin basket inside the drum, and the washer is properly draining during the wash and rinse cycles, you have nothing to worry about.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this is helpful to you.

When i spin wash tub wigth my hand i can hear lots of water still in the machine under neath the wash basin

That is becouse most washing machines are made up of an inside drum where your clothes are washed and an outside durm that catches the water when the washer spins the water out of the washed clothes. A pump is connected to the bottom of the outside drum. If the pump fails, the water would not get pumped to the drain and would collect in the outside drum.

Clothes remain dripping wet after the wash cycle is complete.

I assume you have removed the lint filter at the bottom of the machine and cleaned it out to make sure the pump is not stalled on a 1 pence or bra clip. Can you hear the motor start to spin? If not its probably because the water level switch is gunged up at the bottom of its rubber tube where it comes from the drum. Remove the top of the machine and locate the pressure switch - usually a round black or white device about 80 to 100mm across with a rubber pipe on a small spout 8mm diameter. Take the pipe clip off using pliers to compress it and move it back down the pipe. Remove the pipe and blow hard down the pipe to try and clear the blockage - you will hear bubbles blowing in the bottom of the drum water. Also you could very very gently blow into the switch stub pipe and listen for it changing over - clicks usually twice each way - blow - two clicks, release - two clicks. Restore swtch pipe and try the machine again. Good luck.

Water remain in the machine

the washer has a fluid filled ring around the drum to balance it as it spins, assuming do not actually see or feel water you may be hearing that liquid.

Maytag neptune MLG2000AWW does not turn off at end of spin cycle

d sounds as if your having a timer issue here. not recognizing the end of cycle and entering a new one ( bad timer).. as far as time of unlocking this is normal, theres a wax motor holding the door shut for i believe 3 min's.. and the water sloshing sounds is also normal they use a "water filled" balance ring around the perimeter of tub to help with the overall balance of machine

Neptune-is water supposed to remain, after wash is finished, between tub and outer shell

if you hear water when you spin the basket, that is the front tub balance ring.it is filled halfway with water in order to assist mach in balancing load.that is a normal sound.the mach may also leave some water between the basket and outer shell depending on lengh of drain hose.as long as the clothes do not come in contact with the water it is fine.
