talk with the manufacturers of the remote device you have installed and see what can be done
there will be a method of resetting you device to respond only to your remote but it will require tech knowledge that the manufacturers will have
Make sure your neighbor doesn't have a remote with a sticking switch. Often times a person will stick an extra remote in a drawer and then place something on it that holds the button down. Try programming your remotes this way just in case you didn't.
Press and hold the button down on the remote while you press and immediately release the smart/learn button. Sometimes it can help if you are in the garage when you program your remotes this way and it will drown out any distant signal.
It is very important to erase the memory of your unit and then reprogram your remotes. Erase the memory by holding the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds. None of your remotes or wireless keypad will work. Now program your remotes this way. Press and hold the button down on your remote and then press and immediately release the smart learn button.
If you have a wireless keypad program it like this. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code.
I would make sure your neighbor isn't using his opener when you are programming your keypad.
one or the other remote has an error so when you set up your remote make sure neighbor is not home ... I had this problem when my neighbor was home and I reset my remote and keypad ... later I noticed my neighbors door either opened or closed with mine I called customer support and found the neighbors sensor emitted constantly and reset to mine. ... soo Reset you remote and keypad if you have one when you neighbor is away!!! :)
MOST OF THE WIRELESS KEYPADS YOU DON'T NEED THE OLD CODE TO PROGRAM A NEW ONE.
JUST PRESS THE LEARN/PROGRAM BUTTON AND RELEASE YOU NOW HAVE 20 SECONDS FOR HER TO PUNCH IN THE CODE SHE WANTS AND PRESS AND HOLD ENTER. THE NEXT TIME SHE PRESSES THE BUTTON THE DOOR SHOULD WORK.
NOTE IT WILL WORK FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS AFTER ENTER IS PRESSED THE FIRST TIME. AFTER THAT YOU NEED TO RE-ENTER THE CODE AND PRESS ENTER.
PROBLEM SOLVED HAPPY NEIGHBOR!!
