SOURCE: My kcup brewer leaks water

I had the same problem I bought a 1/2" rubber washer and duct taped it to the top of the reusable unit and it has been working great for about a month, the indent in the reusable filter is too far away from the brew section of the machine

SOURCE: Does not dispense water unless you pinch vent in water tank.

If your Keurig is putting water out the vent and back into the reservoir. Open the front, using a flashlight and a toothpick, clean the coffee grinds out of the little hole in the needle that pierces the K cup. When it becomes clogged with grinds the water either has to come out the vent or the coffee maker will burn out. It is a safety mechanism.

Hi I lost my spray head for my Bunn coffee maker - is there a hack to still be able to make coffee while I wait for the new part?

Depends on your model. The smaller pour over units are easy as you prep your funnel with coffee as normal and get a full pot of hot water (just brew the water through the brew head and funnel to fill the pot.) If you have another pot or carafe, air pump pot. Then hold the coffee filled funnel (with coffee filter) over the empty pot and slowly pour the hot water over the coffee grounds. Go slow as you don't want to burn your other hand nor get grounds into the pot if you over fill the filter.
* If this is a 1-1/2 gallon brewer then the missing shower head won't mater that much as most of the 'flavor' is extracted in the first 1/2 gallon with the rest just filling the urn. If you do find the coffee to be weak then perform 3 separate 1/2 gallon brews to allow the grounds to fully soak and extract. Again, you can still do it manually as described above but it does get messy and very slow. (I've done this just to get something out to the customer. Well until I could get the repaired brewer up and running.)
* Most of the Bunn decanter brewers use a quarter size screw on spray head. No real substitute, though you could try a stiff sheet of aluminum foil to cover the coffee grounds in the funnel and poke holes into it. Though more than likely one of the waiters will dump it on the next brew.
* On one occasion (during lunch rush) I had to wait on a repaired urn to heat up but the waiter's needed coffee now! I took a pour over small brewer and made a pot with 1/2 gallon strength coffee and poured it into a larger urn then brewed more 'partial' batches till it was full. Hey, got to do what needed to get it out.
* You should always check with your coffee vendor as spray heads are very common parts and available at your local restaurant supply. There are other brands that use the same parts too like bloomfield. Ask around as this is a fairly cheap part.

My bunn coffee maker leaks at the bottom. Can you tell me what to do

Okay no model given,
* Pour over brewers only leak if over filled (more than a pot). If it leaks just sitting there then there is a hole in the tank. Call for service or replace.
* Commercial machines like CW, CWTF, Single, Dual, Urns, are plumbed into a water line. Leaks may come from the water line, Tank, or urn.
* If the water leak is clear and not hot then it's the water inlet line.
* If it's hot then the heater is leaking,
* If it's coffee colored then it's the urn where the coffee is being brewed.
* In All cases call your vendor for service as this is a hazardous situation. Unplug or turn off the power to the unit. It should be on a large throw switch near any large brewer. Have maintenance turn off the breaker and leave of till the vendor can service.

1. Power off machine.

2. Using a metal paperclip, insert it into left side of top needle. It must insert at least 1" deep. Insert it into slot on right side and again from back of needle.

3. Remove KCup cradle. Separate bottom from top. In the top section, insert the paperclip up into bottom needle from the bottom upwards. It will not go all the way thru and this is normal.

4. Reassemble KCup cradle and reinsert it back into coffee maker.

5. Power on machine.

6. Brew a cup of water only. There may be coffee grounds in the water and these should eventually clear during the remaining steps. NOTE: A large cup brew cycle should output a full 8 ounces (235cc). Less means there is still a blockage

Red descale light is on

I use distilled white vinegar, but you can use specialized coffee cleaners with this model:

Descaling
Descaling 11
Descale your Tassimo machine every three months to keep it
operating at full potential.
1
Descaling products are widely available from stores selling coffeemakers and espresso
machines. Only use a product intended for descaling. Mix the descaling product
directly in the water container, following the instructions provided on the descaling
packaging. Replace the water container on the machine.
2 Place a large cup or mug on the cup stand, insert the cleaning disc, bar code down,
and close the brew mechanism. When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release
the start/stop button. The brew cycle will fill the machine with descaling solution. Empty
the cup and let the machine stand for 15 minutes.
3 Open the brew mechanism and close it again, leaving the cleaning disc in place.
When the AUTO light illuminates, press and release the start/stop button. When the
machine stops running, empty the cup, and let the machine stand for 15 minutes.
Repeat this step two more times for maximum descaling effectiveness. Discard the
remaining descaling agent from the water container, rinse it thoroughly and refill
with fresh, cold water.
4 Open and close the brew mechanism again, leaving the cleaning disc in place.
When the AUTO light illuminates, press and hold the start/stop button to flush water
through the machine. The MANUAL light will flash. When the cup is full, release the
start/stop button, empty the cup, and replace it on the cup stand.
5 Repeat step 4, flushing clean water through the machine in the same manner and
emptying the cup as it fills. To ensure that all the descaling solution is completely rinsed
away, flush two full water containers through the machine before using it again.

GE 169164 coffee maker problem

*** HOW TO RESET THE GE 169164 COFFEE MAKER ***

After endless online searches yielding the same results (nothing useful), I figured out how to reset this coffee maker.

While coffee maker is plugged in and the evil little blue light is mocking you relentlessly, press and hold the 1-4 button and the TSB button simultaneously for 3 seconds or so. This will cause the device to exit it's error status and allow normal use of it.

Water heats but stops perculating

Check the spring under the grounds basket on the pump tube. This is supposed to hold the end of the tube down in the heater well. It should compress when the lid is pushed down on the basket and twisted to lock in under the handles.  I have found a good source of parts for Faberware urns and percolators at goodmans.net. The thermostats and heating elements can be easily replaced and the urn returned to original condition. Rich of Colorado
