I also have the same problem. The house trip switches went which after investigation was down to the dishwasher. Now although it all seems to function, when the programme starts it sounds as if the pump is working but no water is coming through.

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.

I had exactly the same symptoms with my Hotpoint integrated dishwasher BFI620 with one led flashing as fault error code on (the left hand intensive heavy duty cycle / intensive wash light). The fault was that the floor of the carcass had filled with water from a leak and activated the float switch. Shut the door, remove kitchen pinth and then the 2 black access plates that you can now see below the door. Look inside and carefully feel the floor of the housing to see if it's wet. Ours was leaking due a loose nut under the lower spray arm but I had to stand it on an elevated surface and run it with the floor removed to find the leak. You can disconnect the switch to do this but be careful as most wires inside are mains voltage.

Just had the floor of the BFI620 fill with water again so that the dishwasher does not start: the pump just runs but it does not fill with water. This time I traced the leak to the water flow control conttol tank behinnd the left hand side panel: one of the hose clips was allowing it to leak. Also, the bottom of the dishwasher used to fill with water when off: I traced that to a dodgy water inlet valve, which I replaced with one from an indest washing machine as it was cheaper and practicall identical. Rubbish dishwasher!

My symptoms were similar - left LED flashing, pump running constantly. I checked for water on the carcass floor and this turned out to be the problem as Huw suggested. Some kitchen tool soaked up the excess water and my dishwasher is restored to health. Don't forget to turn off the power! And many thanks Huw - saved me a considerable amount of money!

If your dishwasher stops working and the pump is constantly running and won't start the washing cycle, then the problem is likely to be a leak which has caused the bottom of the carcass to flood with water and trip the microswitch. I have had this happen 3 times on my BFI620. The first time it was a loose nut on either the bottom spray arm or the salt container. The second time it was a leaking hose clip on the flow control tank mounted under the left side panel. The third time it was due to a perished elblow joint where the waste pipe / drain hose fits onto the pump. If the interior of your dishwasher fills with clean water then, as mentioned above, it's a dodgy water inlet valve. These dishwashers are rubbish and I'm fed up of taking it out, which is no mean feat for a integrated dishwasher. You are able to determine if there's water on the floor of the carcass before you remove it by taking off the skirting board / vanity panel and removing one of the black covers. Then feel downwards inside to see if the bottom floor is wet. Just drying the carcass floor as Keith suggests (above) won't fix the underlying leak.

Zanussi zdt 6053 usually will not run full cycle (on any cycle) but stops with constant error beeps. But it is draining ok and sometimes goes full cycle (not often) Any ideas?

Could be anything!
If you suspect that there is a fault then it will be displayed by blinking LED "END OF CYCLE". As the display of failure in hexadecimal code it can flash up to max. 15 times than short pause and after that repeat fault code. You must to count the number of times the LED "END OF CYCLE" flash up.

Example from user manual: Anti-flood device is activated.
- continuous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme
- 3 intermittent audible signals
- 3 flashes of the END OF CYCLE indicator light
(which means "i30" fault code, the cycle is interrupted and the
drain pump switches on).
Possible causes:
Water leakage from the tub - sump and various connections
(pump, upper spray arm duct etc.); floating sensor blocked
mechanically; microswitch faulty; fill solenoid blocked
mechanically; circuit board faulty (solenoid triac short-circuited);
wiring faulty.
26226179-aipk5px1bmfkdpsmrgevaqwn-3-1.jpg Could be also:
To cancel a washing programme in progress:
- Open the dishwasher's door.
- Press the programme selection/cancel button for about 3 seconds,
until the indicator light of the running programme turns off and the
END OF CYCLE indicator light flashes, indicating that the running
programme has been cancelled and that the machine has
returned to setting mode. It is now possible to select another
washing programme. If a new washing programme will be
selected, check that there is detergent in the detergent dispenser.

NOTE: only during the drying phase, if the dishwasher's door will be opened and remains open for more then 30 seconds, the running programme will be automatically cancelled and the machine will return to setting mode. This will happen, always only during the drying phase, also when the machine is switched off by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched off for more then 30 seconds.

Oko 72630. Why is it stuck on rinse cycle?

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)

According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.

Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

Classique dishwasher, 3 weeks old. turned it on and chose dishwashing programme. Started ok but then beeping sound and has gone to pots programme. Light jus flashes. Stopped. Cannot reset. tried turning it...

You have a warranty, call the seller and ask how to use the limited warranty you have on the machine. As long as you didn't do something to the machine, they will usually just give you a different one to save on service calls in the long run, just get an exchange, I don't see any reason they won't do it.

The motor on my Miele washing machine is running constantly even when not set on a programme. The water seems to empty out as soon as it comes in. I Have to release the Stop /Start button to stop motor.

what motor do you mean the motor that spins the drum or the pump motor if its the pump motor i would check the programmer as it tells the pump when to run, on a rinse water evacuate cycle it would seem that you are stuck in that mode call a loacl engineer

Hi there ....this condition is ususally caused by a water leak into the sump of the dishwasher which activates a safety switch to run the drain pump..preventing the appliance from being used....Remedy...tip the dishwasher back in the head allowing excess water to exit from the sump...then with the door open check that the air vent lock ring is secure, thet the salt unit retaining ring is secure..and finally that the filter unit to base screws are secure...this done re-start and you should b fine
