Sadly the solution is to either take it back or set the cheap thing on fire.

I had the exact same problem with mine and after taking it apart I found that a straight edge on the end of a spring through a plastic pulley assembly is what the good folks down at Home Lite consider enough to withstand the torque of pulling on the pull rope. What it does is widen the hole where the straight part of the spring goes through enough so there's give and since its PLASTIC the whole pulley assembly moves up just enough so it can slip out completely and jam the pulley so the string won't retract.

I wrote AND called them explaining the problem and the fact that I KNOW this has to be a problem because after looking at this pathetic trimmers construction I couldnt figure out how it wouldnt after only a few months use. After TWO DAYS they finally wrote me back and basically told me to either take it back to the store from where I purchased it (unless I took it apart, then the warranty was void) or buy a new (and equally DEFECTIVE) pulley assembly. Now, I have no problem repairing things myself, in fact I prefer it, but when their solution to fixing a DEFECTIVE product is to replace it with the exact same DEFECTIVE product well, that's where I draw the line. This is my first Home Lite purchase and my last after the rude response I got from them concerning a defective product THEY manufactured.

Need sprocket for 14 inch portland chain saw

These Portland brand chainsaws were manufactured for Harbor Freight. Like all Harbor Freight products, getting parts for them is a bit of a challenge, as the products are only available for a couple of years and then no longer manufactured, with parts no longer being available. You can try contacting Harbor Freight and inquiring as to whether parts for your particular model are still available or not. -

Trying to find new batteries for Chicago tool , model #45803

Hello, Linda -

Clarification: You are seeking replacement batteries for a Chicago Electric Power Tools Cordless Circular Saw. If so . . .

Apparently new Chicago Electric Power Tools are exclusive to Harbor Freight.

I have not found specifications for your model circular saw, so I do not know what kind and what voltage a replacement battery or batteries would be. Instead, I suggest you make a telephone call to Harbor Freight Customer Service and ask about the availability of a replacement battery or replacement batteries for your cordless circular saw.

Note: Before calling Harbor Freight Customer Service, I suggest you investigate the cost of buying a new similar cordless circular saw. My experience with some cordless power tolls is that the replacement rechargeable battery was more expensive than buying a new cordless tool. (Meaning: The old cordless power tool was sent to electronics recycling, and not just tossed in the trash.)

This is the Customer Service telephone number for Harbor Freight:
800-444-3353
Monday - Saturday 5am to 8pm (Pacific Time)
Sunday 6am - 6pm (Pacific Time)

Best wishes.

Soldering gun melts tips

180 watts is way too much for a soldering iron unless you are repairing copper pipes or soldering 4 gauge wires. You can't just let that stand, it must be used or it will overheat. Harbor freight is were you buy tools that are meant to be used one time. They are junk - I'm not judging you because I don't know what project you have - it is likely a one-time project.

No spark in my echo 4600 new spark plug tested screw driver to casing no spart how do i test the magneto or do ou have any other solutions thanks

You need to get a spark checker tool. What you do is you connect the tool to the spark plug while it is screwed in and then connect the other side of the tool to the spark plug wire. There is a light in the tool that will flicker when you pull the starter cord if there is good spark.

You can get a spark checker at any autoparts store, Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, etc.

Once you have checked for spark, if you see the light flicker and it still doesn't start, come back here and I will take you through further troubleshooting.

How do I take out links to size my bulova tfx watch

You have to press the pin out of the side of the ban. I use a tool they sell at harbor freight tools to do it. If you dont have a harbor freight near you they have an online store. You can also use a good push pin and a small hammer to tap the pin out. Put the ban on it's side over a small hole drilled i a flat piece of wood so the pin can come out without bending. do this for each link you want out then tap the pin back in on the last link to put it back togather. Sometimes there is an arrow on the inside of the ban showing you the direction to drive the pin out

The wiring diagram is on the motor name plate. It usually will only require you to hook up the hot and neutral (black and white), and the ground (green)

Missing part

Charger does't connect to DVD player.

Connects to battery. Built your own, Radio Shack, female to male jack, power supply from anything handy or spend $2 at thrift shop, $2 multimeter (Harbor Freight, Cheapo), junk variable resistor (pot).

7.4--8 V adjust. Or, get fixed value resistor dependent on PS voltage.

Charge anything,

And power supply for DVD house current.
