Form the manuafacurers web site - The manufacturer is working on a map update however it is stored on the SD memory card in your GPS unit so you may need to contact insignia to find out how the SD memory card is updated and when the update will be released.
I would at a guess think that a memory card reader device may need to used on your P.C and that a download into the sd memory card would be how insignia would achieve an update. But backup what is on the memory card first onto your hard drive in your P.C. before altering its contents if this is how it is achieved.

To get updates for your cars gps, first ensures it is properly charged, then you disconnect it from the car and connect it to a laptop that has internet connection, once you connect on installing the drivers software, it will pop up the latest updates for your gps. Select the update and the updates will be installed on your gps.

i would go www.magellangps.com and download them from the website directly to your computer. Then your gps should have a memory card reader of some sort. You can take your memory card and the updates you downloaded and then you load the updates from the memory card. .

First you have to get the updated software.(igo8 is what i bought)
Look around for on that has the newest maps included It will be cheaper than purchasing separate.(you also will get free updates later when you buy the software.)
hook up gps to comp via usb.(with the software card in of coarse)
go into the flash drive (not sd) using the comp and look fotr a text file called "IGOPATH" and copy it to your desktop and open it.
Change the "Navigate" line under moduals to the exe location on the sd card.
then write it back to gps and reboot gps by the side switch.
You have now updated the armcor3900.
