SOURCE: removing the base on a tv

There are 5 screws on the back of the TV under the inputs in an x pattern:

X X
X
X X

Remove these and set aside. You should also see 2 screws on either side of the X pattern, loosen these. You should then be able to slide the TV off the base. Remember to re-tighten the loosened screws. Place the removed screws in the base in case you ever wish to use it in the future.

SOURCE: How to Remove the Base

The 2 screws on each side directly above the stand legs need to be removed. You do not need to remove the big plastic back panel. Remember the TV is heavy, the screws are under pressure and when the screws are removed the TV will drop. I suggest 3 people, 1 to remove the screws and 2 to hold up each side during and after the screws are removed.

If you want to remove the speakers, just disconnect the wires at the TV source, & remove top 2 screws from the brackets on each side of the centerline. Lower the speakers & rotate the bottom forward & out the front.

Sounds like you need to download the latest update, unfortunately Olevia went bankrupt and doesn't answer the phone. If I find out anything that is being done to correct the situation, I post it

Hi, My Olevia 42 inch, model342-B11, has a problem with its picture. At first I had vertical lines running down the screen, then it turned into small squares. What do you think is wrong with it?

Parts are hard or impossible to find for this brand but it sounds like the "main" board which processes all signal in and out of the display.

My Olevia 42 inch wont turn on the blue light isnt even on, The TV is only 2 yrs old

Mine had the same problem. You simply remove the dozen or so screws on the back and pop the back off. If you follow where the power cord goes into the tv and trace the wires you will see a small fuse. I believe it was a 5amp and cost less than a buck. I'm not sure why mine blew but I have had no issues since.

Remove base from tv?

How many screws did you remove? You should have eight, there are 2 screws along the bottom that are easy to miss. Make sure you check each hole with a flashlight just to make sure you got them all.

How to Remove the Base

I have an Olevia 42" TV. I was able to remove the base by removing 16 screws on the back side. They were arranged vertically in 4 sets of 4. The screws go through the back panel, through the base and attach (without nuts) directly into the inside of the TV. After removing the 16 screws the stand simply slides out.
I tried removing two screws underneath the base area. They were small screws and were a pain to remove. I thought I would try that first instead of removing 16 screws but that did nothing.
Good luck!
