Use this formula: f(n) = n(n+1)/2, where "n" is the last number of the sequence of numbers you are adding (in this case, "n" would be "24").
So: f(24) = 24(24 + 1) / 2 f(24) = 600 / 2 f(24) = 300

How to solve? john has a total of 480 chicken and cows on a farm. They have 1260 legs altogether. how many chickens than cows there are?

There are 330 chickens and 150 cows, so there are 180 more chickens than cows. Since this sounds like a homework problem, you'll have to show your work.

Rabbits and chickens

Let C = # of Chickens and R = # of Rabbits
Let CL = # of Chicken Legs and RL = # of Rabbit Legs
C + R = 52 (each chicken and each rabbit have a head)
R = 52 - C
CL = 2C (each chicken has 2 legs)
RL = 4R (each rabbit has 4 legs)

CL + RL = 148
2C + 4 (52 - C) = 148
-2C + 208 = 148
C = 30

R = 52 - C = 52 - 30
= 22

There are 30 chickens and 22 rabbits.
