All new things like that has an instruction book and a registration paper. Follow the instructions on the registration paper and it will tell you how and where to send. Don't lose that paper or you will be lost in trying to register it.

check on rear of cutting deck if its not there try on rear of machine

If I'm not mistaken, I had one like this once. I think when you purchase the new one, it comes with screws. You have to drill out the rivets to replace the recoil assembly. Try calling to purchase a new assembly and question them.

Try Black & Decker Tools. From there you can be directed to a link to register your item. Have the item name, model number, serial number,purchase date, where you purchased it, and any other info related tro your product. This should be all you need.... NOTE.... You may have to create a user ID and a Password to do this...If all else fails ...call the toll free nuber on your registration paper work.....SOMETIMES it is great to have a person to person conversation...at no cost to you as it is a toll free #.....Happy New Year....Joe
