SOURCE: new lamp but image is dim

This usually means that there is some contamination in the light path. Since many of the mirrors and lenses must be carefully aligned, it is not recommended to have the homeowner dis-assemble +/or clean these. This unit should be sent in for serive, requesting a complete clean and alighment. The unit will be cleaned, any filters changed and the convergence checked.

SOURCE: Nec Lt265 extremely dim

I had this same issue and it was the bulb. We had 2 of the NEC LT265 projectors so we swapped the bulbs between the 2 and it tracked with the bulb.

SOURCE: blue haze in top right of screen from NEC mt1075 projector

the light filter on the blue lcd panel is fried due to excessive dust and heat. clean out the projector with canned air. unfortunately, you cannot buy individual parts of the optical engine- you'll have to replace the whole thing. or live with it.

There is a large dark spot in the lower center portion of the projection area, I have cleaned the external lense and changed the bulb but the dark image remains.

if the spot is circular, check the lamp itself. if it has a flatter edge, chances are your light tunnel has collapsed and needs replaceing. it's not that old, so dell might repair it. but they might replace the entire optical engine, as they may not sell individual parts.

Canon power shot sd1000 black dot on lens

If by saying the upper right corner of the lens you really mean that there is a dark spot on each image AND the rear display, there may be dirt or dust on the lens itself. Clean the lens with an optical quality cleaner. Do not use paper towels and Windex or the like - as paper towels can scratch the lens.

It is also possible that the dark spot is a "stuck pixel" on the image sensor inside the camera. There is no way to repair a stuck pixel outside of replacing the sensor. Any dark spot (regardless of source) can be edited out by using image editing software. This will allow you to to make the dark spot less noticeable - or practically invisible.

If the dark spot is on the rear display only, it can also be a result of a "stuck pixel" on the display itself. This should not show up an images, but only on the display. There is little that can be done outside of replacing the entire rear screen.

There are other things that can cause these problems, but those listed above are the most common.

I hope this was Very Helpful and good luck!

I have a BenQ W500 with some dark spots in the image. As far as I can tell, the lenses are clean, and I took out the lamp unit to make sure there was no dust or smudging. How can I get rid of the spots?...

if you can focus the lens on them, they're on the optics somewhere. if you cannot, you may need to replace the fly-eye (diffuser) lens. they tend to fry due to excessive dust and heat.

LCD projector 101, your blue device is dying inside of projector. Consider purchasing a dlp based product, they do not suffer from color decay.

Really you are blessed , most lcds last about 3-4000 hours or 4 lamp changes. good luck

NEC LT35 color problem

If you're trying to project video, then the unit needs professional service. If you're trying to project from a computer, you may have a loose display cable, broken pins in one or both ends of the display cable, or broken conductors (wires) within the display cable. The computer sends its image information as a template of RED image components, GREEN image components and BLUE image components with the projector overlays to create the complete image with blended color values. (The computer also sends HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL synchronization signals, but those don'e affect the color content of the projected image.) That's why I'm suspicious of the display cable, conductors or pins.
