Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

Dishwasher leak I have a General Electric Potscrubber Mobile Maid dishwasher (model GSC720?) that hasn't been used in some time, but appears to still work OK. It has a leak from the left hand vent opening in the bottom of the door when operating. The seal around the door appears intact and doesn't leak. Can you suggest a probable cause, and remedy? Thanks, Bob.

With dishwasher empty and disconnected, find the screws around the area of the "vent",you may need to open it from the bottom. There will be a hose that has either ruptured or just needs the clamp tightened with a screw driver. I think that the hose is a drain or water return. Should be an easy fix.

General Electric dishwasher model potscrubber 1410 will not pump out final rinse water

So due to this water is still left in the bottom correct? you would have to remove the drain line where it connects into the sink area and also check inside the hole that the hose connects into the sink for any blockages if there are none found here then you would deinstall the dishwasher pull the unit out and check where the drain line connects to the pump. If you also found nothing in the other end of the line then you would disconnect the pump and assure nothing is stuck in the pump and that the impellar can spin freely. lastly you would reassemble the pump and drain hose but you would drain the unit into a bucket and still have the unit pulled out then start the dishwasher and assure there are no leaks. IF you have any further questions message me back Thanks Rick

We have a Lektro Maid electric skillet that came with our Miracle Maid waterless cookware purchased approximately 30 years ago. The temperature control appears to have a short in it because the light on...

Miracle Maid and West Bend are both out of business. I just called and talked with Regal Ware who take calls about the cookware--1-262-626-8623. They cannot fix the problem because the terminals have a short and there are no longer any parts available! It is the BEST electric skillet ever!!

Water not coming into dishwasher

Without knowing the model number of your GE dishwasher, but some dishwashers don't notice when the float / float switch is stuck. That could cause the dish washer to move through all the cycles but never have water flow into the dishwasher. That would be the first place I would look. But please post back here with what you find (plus the model number of your dishwasher) before ou rate me level of helpfulness, OK?

General Electric Pot scrubber Dishwasher

From what you are describing, the fill valve may have failed or become clogged. Start the dishwasher, when the water stops filling, open the door and check the water level. There should be at least an inch to an inch of water in the center of the tub. If not, replace the water inlet valve.

If you need further assistance, let me know with a model number
