Hi this is a standars problem you will need to take apart the back of the toner hopper where the toner goes in the drive motor or worm gears will be damaged and will need to be replaced or the motor some times you just need to clean around the sensor toner hopper sensor and it will fix the issue
SOURCE: Have a MINOLTA CSPRO 4000, erro code C0040----"FAN
The fan is not easy to replace...... The fan is located under the black transport belts. The fan is part
of the unit that brings the paper from the transfer & drum to the fuser unit. The unit is black and it looks like tank tracks. From what I remember the fan is acturely in the transport unit ... Good Luck
SOURCE: please i want clean the copies machine minolta cs pro ep 4000
Dear
the best clean is to take the glass out and clean all the mirrror you can see in the exposure system also you must clean the exposure lamp with the alcohol
that all you can do alse if the the copies still dirty that mean there are another problems in your copier must check.
Below the drum is an assy. that houses two very fine gold plated wires that do two things since the paper goes between these two wires and the drum the first is transfers the image on to the paper from the drum, the second one prevent the paper from sticking to the drum. One is or both are bad, BROKEN? Remove the assy. and replace both. They are very fine and fragile do not lose the springs. If that does not work you might have bad ends on the assy. after a while the plastic breakdowns and allow the voltage to go to ground. The wires carry around 2000 volts during the copy process. None during power off :) Open close the front door resets the code.
