Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

Sometimes you remove one handle screw, then gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

Of course this depends on your specific brand and model number.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

If this does not answer it for you, please reply back with your brand and model number. Otherwise...

Dacor DCM 24. Everything, clock, fan, rotator, light all come on but oven and microwave don't heat?

On model DCM24, that's usually a defective bottom door switch, or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.

The service manual is here, and my help file on door switches is here.

For free DIY and other help and advice, feel free to contact me via my site.

Always include your FULL model number*, FCC ID number*, and detailed symptom information.

* from the tag in the cooking cavity or elsewhere on the oven (or send a clear photo of tag)

Dacor DMT2420S Microwave has light and touch pad fully functional but when you push start, the clock counts down normally but no sound of the oven running nor does the turntable turn. Food does not heat....

Simple fix.

You need to replace the bottom door switch, or repair its loose or broken mount.

See this help file on door switches, and refer to the service manual here for disassembly help.

You can find part numbers here and order Dacor parts (by part number only) here.

If a switch is all you need, we offer a universal type for only $5 postpaid which you can order here.

Fridigaire over the stove microwave. the handle is broken. We can order a new handle but don't know how to install it. Can you help? thanks, Linda C. e mail ...

You must take the door out by removing a screw then lifting the door off the hinge pin then the door must be laid on it's front and, completely
disassembled to replace the door handle.

Dacor Microwave PCOR3OS will not heat/tunrtable not turning

This Dacor model is very similar to Sharp model R1874.

We have the applicable service manuals for these models and have uploaded it to our site here and here to help you.

You will need the
free Adobe Reader to view or print them.

This is probably a bad secondary interlock (lower door switch) or possibly its mount is loose or broken.

Door switch or mount trouble is usually caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

There are plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door.

The screws on these mounts may be loose. If they get too loose, the switches will not be activated properly.

Sometimes it's a broken tab on the switch holder, allowing the switch to rotate just out of position. This tab can be hard to see, since it is under the bottom edge of the switch.

If you only need a switch, you can order a universal type here for $5 postpaid.
