The message it is displaying indicates that a VGA cable is connected and is not sending signal, or is sending a Monitor Off signal across the VGA cable. The motherboard battery will have no impact on this. If you are using something other than a VGA cable to send the signal to the monitor, then you should ensure that no VGA cable is plugged into the monitor, or the source on the monitor is not using the VGA connector.

    How do I fix this

    anon 2021 july

    how do i fix this.
1: test the monitor on 2nd good PC, and if that works now you know PC1 is dead (easy no? )
2: PC dead. is now the topic if land here, if not the monitor is bad buy a new one. NO LG model told no joy.
    3: pc DEAD 101.

a: plug good monitor in to the VGA port, if PC has GPU card use the GPU card port only, if not use main VGA on the PC main chassis. no bent pins in cables.
b: turn on PC, the (none told at all) and the power lamp glows. hold power button for 10 full seconds and release it now, PC fans now spin, heard, seen or felt or all 3 for sure.
if fans are dead the PC is dead , has power related problems.

full stop, no pC told at all , maker or model and no LG monitor model told, and all that matters.

"D-SUB= VGA. PCs and monitors my have, VGA/DVI /HDMI AND DP JACKS, SOME HAVE 4 THERE, MINE DOES.
But my PC has fancy GPU card and when that is in place only the GPU cards jack are active.

one last answer, if the monitor not told is connected to a laptop, not told./
you need to use the laptops hot key pair (Fn+F4 ) or the keys in your manual to make that port live.

SOURCE: No display.

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/2005FPW/En/setup.htm#Using%20the%20OSD

Make sure the proper input is selected

1: D-SUB for Blue VGA cable
2: DVI-D for White DVI cable

The option selected should be indicated on the power save screen.

If changing the input select and rebooting the computer have no effect an no video from the computer is ever displayed, then the monitor is in need of repair.

I have a LG Flatron E2750v Monitor connected with a standard cord between the monitor In the center of the screen it reads: D-Sub out of range 68.5Khz/85Hz VGA Port or Power saving mode HDMI Port

Hi, that message indicates that your video source is providing an unsupported video resolution , please check in settings that video output resolution is no more than 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz.
Also remember to verify that HDMI is selected as input source at monitor.

Acer pc and lg monitor blank screen says power save mode on start up, anyone know how to fix this?

Actually during start-up there is a slight delay before the HDD & OS is detected by the CPU. Normally all monitors slip into power saving mode within 10 secs of inactivity of either mouse or keystroke. This inactivity is read by the monitor which promptly switches to power saving mode. However the moment the HDD LED starts blinking, the monitor wakes up & starts displaying. This power saving mode in most of the flat screens is only associated with movement of mouse or keypad. This does not register till the CPU starts up & thats why the monitor switches over to power saving mode till it starts receiving signal from the CPU.
It is a normal behaveour, so don't get worked up over it, plus you can always hit the Auto set feature on the monitor after booting the PC completely. ( I think the time out for the monitor to enter power saving mode is only 10 secs). Hope this helps.

Lg 1752s goes into power saving mode when pc is turned on

Hello Alan,

That is actually not power saving mode, the flashing power light indicates the power supply is not starting up correctly and keeps shutting down and trying again. This is a very common symptom of a failure of the capacitors on the power supply board. The L1752s uses the AIP0157 power supply board which is the same board the is used in several LG monitors such as the L196WTQ and L194WT. Here is a link to a repair guide for the L196WTQ that shows what capacitors to look for and replace on the power supply board to bring the unit back to life.

Automatically power saving mode ...........................cpu start working..........monitor power saving mode

Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if the same symptoms occur the problem is the Video Graphics Card in the computer, but if the picture is okay, it is clearly the LG Flatron that has the problem, and if possible sub the video cord from the computer to the monitor just to be sure.

I have an LG E2350V monitor. When I connect to my desk top PC, it starts to display the pc starting up sequence, then after 20 seconds or so goes into Power Saving mode and it wont get out of it. ...

Hi keepintouch0,

Make sure that the power save settings are not set in the OSD of the monitor , and if they are set to switch off after some time , then you need to change the settings as per your requirement.

Hope this helps ...:) Let me know in case you have any queries.

Have lg monitor flatron e2260 . Have had for about 3 weeks. Starting today, the monitor goes black and states "d-sub power saving mode". The tower stays on. Thx

1. Check the connections and make sure they are still tight. If the monitor isn't getting data signal it can go into power saving mode. Since it was working I would check this first.

2. Look in control panel under POWER OPTIONS and make sure it's not set to turn off after so long.

3. Also check the settings for your screensaver under display settings. That too could put it into poewr saver mode.

It could be a setting on the monitor itself that somehow got changed. Check out the settings to see if anything has changed.

Monitor automatically clicks into power saving mode

I have an LG W2261V, and an old Sharp LL-T19D1-H. The PC runs both just fine, and the PSU has plenty of power. Unfortunately the LG handles power save mode very differently, where the LG would not switch on after entering this mode unless reset (unplugged, PC rebooted, etc). Extremely frustrating, as the old Sharp never had any problems exiting its own power save mode. The LG would enter this mode based on the monitor power settings (in whatever power scheme you are using) in the screensaver tab in display properties. I fixed this by selecting "Never" for "the Turn off monitor" property. I guess this is a warning to those who may wish to buy a new LG monitor, but want to use a power scheme to turn off the monitor.
