My hotpoint wf860 washing machine tripped the circuit breaker. After the c/b was reset the machine won't switch on at all. The fusein the plug has been checked and it's ok. The socket works ok. But the machine still won't switch on! Any ideas?

Disconnect power from circuit breaker or unplug power cord before starting. The filter in the hotpoint aquarius 1200 is in the front bottom side, hidden by a trim panel. Remove the trim panel at the bottom of the front side and find the access at the right hand side. Keep a large flat container ready to collect water from drain filter.
Check your circuit breaker first, then check to see if you have power at the socket, test it with a lamp or similar, Then, you need to check, if there IS power at the socket, then you need, to call a service person, to check out the internal failure.
run the machine, after it trips, unplug and carefully touch the motor,it may have a bad capacitor, or dry bearings causing it to draw excessive current,if these 2 things are not it, then look for a bare wire that may be touching case during this part of the cycle, and if you can get an "Amprobe" it reads current and check machines current draw during the start to trip current
