SOURCE: Code For A Dish Network remote

You can power scan for the code.
Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the Mode button( sat,tv,dvd, aux) on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

.
If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

SOURCE: I just recently got Dish

The way in which you are trying to connect them is wrong - using the antenna cable connection the image will lose a lot in quality.
You should use the separate AV connection: buy a simple 3 headed RCA cable (with Yellow, Red and White ones) then plug it in the corresponding (by color) connectors on the dish receiver and the tv then select the AV using the remote .
Nothing else must be done in the settings, it will work from the start and the image will look a lot better.

SOURCE: I have dish network and

1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).

If this doesn't work and you have an LCD TV turn off the back light. As it is probably causing interference this is found in the TV menus.

SOURCE: have 8 yr old Orion tv-new remote control for

We would be happy to help you with getting your new DISH Network remote to control your TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Orion TV; here are some of the codes we currently have for it: 720, 748, 748, and 748. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your Orion TV until you find one that is compatible with it.

We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Direct tv stuck on one channel I was trying to hook up dvd player using remote

Gary,

Insure that the toggle at the top of your remote is set to "DirecTv", as there will be several other options available due to the remote being universal. The top of the remote should have several options TV, AUX1, AUX2 etc and it will not control your DirecTv unless it is set to the correct setting; the correct setting being the cyclone symbol or AT&t symbol depending on age of remote. If this does not resolve your problem you will need to reach out to DirecTv customer support and either attempt a walkthrough with their technical department or you will need to schedule a repair.

Best Regards

I have dish network and dont know what channel to go to in order to use my dvd player. I cant find my manual.

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your post and see you wantto watch a DVD and not sure what channel or input the TV should be on. Whilewatching a DVD the connectors may be RCA cables (Red, Yellow, White), if those arethe connections you will want to put the TV on either Video1 or Input1. Whilethe DISH Network should be connected to the TV by Coax cable (it will have ascrew on connection). The TV channel should be set to ch3 or ch4, if you haveany questions please e-mail me at [email protected].

How to clear remote so I can program it again

Link to the manual
http://audiovox2.info/docs/rca_acc/man/D770_DOC_OM.PDF

Problem: The remote is not
performing commands properly.
• You must put the remote in the
correct mode by pressing the
corresponding component key (TV,
VCR, DVD, SAT, AUX1, AUX2) so
the remote knows which component
you want to operate.
• Make sure the component is “ready”
(e.g., DVD player has disc loaded;
VCR has tape loaded, etc.).
• You may have pressed an invalid
key for the mode the remote is in
(e.g., the RECORD key only works
in VCR Mode).
• If you are trying to turn on an RCA,
GE or PROSCAN component, press
the component key (TV, VCR, DVD,
SAT, AUX1, AUX2) instead of the
ON·OFF key.
• If you’re trying to change channels,
try pressing the OK key after
entering the channel number as this
is a requirement of certain models
and brands.
*There is a possibility that a
programmed code may only be able
to control some of your component
features (e.g., only turns a
component on and off). Follow the
steps provided for programming the
remote (See Programming sections
on pages 5–7). If the component can
be turned on and off, make sure you
press the CH+/CH- key to see if the
component responds. If not, try the
next code from the list.

Good Luck :)

Tv has only snowy screen. Used the remote to

What to do if you have an all snowy picture (blue screen or the TV displays unusable signal-no signal or no sync)
1 – If you are using a digital cable box or satellite receiver (make sure it’s on) and be sure your TV is set for either CH3 or CH4 (which ever you usually view it on). If you usually view it through video inputs (video1 or 2 etc.) make sure the appropriate input is selected.
If you still don’t get a signal see if you get picture using the DVD or VCR (if available) if you do than plug the satellite or Dig. Box temporarily into the place of the DVD (unplug DVD) you may have to use some A/V cables (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) to hook to the tv from the sat./dig. box. If you get a signal then the sat./dig box is ok. If not the Sat./dig box is not sending a signal and is either defective or needs to be rebooted (unplug wait 5 min try again).
2 – If you are using standard cable or antenna (source) if possible check that the source is good by connecting to another TV. Otherwise try running the source into a VCR and then out to the TV using video inputs (RCA yel./red/wht like the ones on the DVD) and then selecting the appropriate input. Try seeing if the VCR plays using standard CH3 (or CH4)
If the VCR plays on video input but not when connected to CH3 (CH4) then the tuner of the TV may be defective – see if you can use the VCR to change channel using the VCR remote.

Phillips dvdplayervideorecorder connect w/zinwell converter box

First off get the TV on the right channel. It will either be ch3 or ch4. If you are using a cable box the dvd/vcr combo will have to be on ch3 or ch4 as well. OK, Make sure the input connector on the combo is hooked to the output connector of the cable box and the output connector of the combo is hooked to the input connector of the tv. Deal with one part at a time. First hook the combo to the tv and get the tv on the right channel (ch3 or ch4) so that you can see a pre-recorded dvd or video play. Then you will know what channel the tv is supposed to be on. When you find it don't bother the tv channel any more. Stop the dvd or video and hook up the cable box and turn on the cable box and set the box to a known good channel. Now put the combo on ch3 or ch4 with the combo's channel selector buttons until you see the cable box playing on the tv (remember you already set up the tv channel). Change channels on the box but don't bother the channels on the tv or combo anymore. You can put the box on whatever channel you want. The box will be your channel selector. I certainly hope that this helps. I know it can be confusing but don't give up. Just remember that the tv and combo have to always be on ch3 or ch4 (which ever one you found before). Good luck and thanks.
