My Kirby G4 stopped working, thinking that it could only be the power switch, since replacing the power switch, alas it still doesn't work.Has any one ever traced out the working of a G4,It would save me a lot of time if someone out there can forward me a diagram.I get continuity through the brushes.
There is a circuit board mounted underneath with an inductor and capacitor, has anyone had trouble with these before.Yes.Any tips on ohmic values through the circuit would be helpful.
I have all the interlocks made when I test for a circuit, both the bag and front interlock switches.
Thanks

Here is a guide to diagnosing a problem with your Kirby. I would imagine that your power cord has a short in it or the carbon brushes need replaced. You may want the take a look at my guide for replacing the power switch as well to make sure that it was hooked back up correctly.
