No lights working

My son wrongly connected the terminals on a battery in a 2006 Toyota Landcruiser non turbo diesel wagon. I saw the headlights were going on & off & he noticed his mistake & disconnected the battery. Since this happened, there are no dash, stop, tail lights or blinkers working. We've checked all small fuses & they're fine.

Have the ECM/ CPU checked out as reverse polarity does wonders for burning out the systems . You may be lucky as a reset using a scanner may fix it

Have you looked under the hood? There are more fuses under the hood. Is your dimmer turned down on your dash lights?

Vehicle has loss of power when accelerating

The 100 series td is boost limited for 1st gear , this was a factory design to stop consumers getting overexcited at the traffic lights etc! If you think you are getting no power or boost in first (which would be odd) then connect a boost gauge to the turbo pressure vsv (vacum switching valve) on the intake manifold to see what sort of pressure you are getting.
All this can get a little bit involved ie type of motor 1hdt,1hd-fte etc etc, repost if you need further.

Toyota Landcruiser 4.2lt diesel OR 3lt turbo diesel prado

The cruiser as long as its the turbo diesel, direct injection (4.2td), be aware though that this model has inherent "sag" with the IFS suspension, so if buying secondhand then upgrade the torsion bars(and factor this into your buying price).
