Hello CJ Lou - Typically that is correct, error code E46 indicates to replace main control board. First, either unplug or flip the household circuit breaker off to the washer to reprogram it. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. Then try pressing and holding the START and PAUSE/CANCEL buttons simultaneously. All LED's will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LED's. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the START and PAUSE/CANCEL buttons are pressed. A two second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify the correct error codes. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

Hello Claudia Clary - Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves to be ineffective then the unit may be experiencing a communication issue with the control board, faulty keypad or wiring failure. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
